Day 1. Arrive Amsterdam

Be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your luxury river ship. Tonight, get to know your fellow travellers and crew at the Captain’s Gala Welcome Dinner.

Stay: Seven Nights: one of APT’s luxurious Concerto Class river ships

Day 2. Amsterdam, Volendam, Edam

Take a canal boat cruise through the city of Amsterdam, providing an opportunity to admire the city’s architecture. Rejoin your ship for lunch and cruise to Volendam, a maze of fishermen’s houses built on poles with a unique open harbour. Enjoy a tour before an excursion takes you to Edam, where you’ll experience a delicious cheese tasting event.

Day 3. Arnhem

Visit the riverside city of Arnhem, here you’ll enjoy a fascinating tour of the Airborne Museum.

Day 4. Antwerp

Antwerp is Belgium’s second largest city and home to marvellous art, architecture and the world’s largest diamond industry. Enjoy a city tour or a tour taking you to the sites associated with famed artist Paul Rubens. Perhaps join an optional excursion to nearby Brussels, the Belgian capital (own expense).

Day 5. Ghent

The bustling university city of Ghent has preserved its medieval charm and power. Take a sightseeing tour, then enjoy time at leisure or perhaps take an optional excursion to Bruges, known for its artistic flavour (own expense).

Day 6. Willemstad, Dordrecht

Cruise back to The Netherlands and through the Dutch region of Zeeland. Stop in the charming village of Willemstad for a walking tour. Later, continue to Dordrecht and the 18th century windmills of Kinderdijk, an iconic sight in The Netherlands.

Day 7. Utrecht, Keukenhof Gardens

During breakfast, cruise along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal to the pretty city of Utrecht. Disembark and travel to Keukenhof Gardens, an historic park filled with blooming tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and many other spring bulbs. Return to your ship in Amsterdam for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure. This evening say goodbye to your fellow travellers and share stories of your wonderful cruise at our Farewell Dinner.

Day 8. Disembark Ship, Depart Amsterdam

Disembark your ship and be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
