Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge

Award-winning Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge is owned by APT and offers accommodation exclusively to APT travellers. The lodge is located on Kings Creek Station, a fully operational cattle and camel station of 1,800 square kilometres owned and run by Ian and Lynn Conway. Set in a private part of the station among the Desert Oak trees, Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge gives guests a memorable Australian outback experience.

Gourmet Meals

Gourmet Australian cuisine is served around the campfire under the stars of the southern sky. Sample such delicacies as camel, kangaroo and barramundi. After dinner, enjoy the serenity of the outback with fellow guests as you relax around the campfire. Breakfast and a delicious three-course dinner are included.

Exclusive Touring Packages

Packages from Alice Springs have been designed with exclusive short touring to the surrounding region. See ancient petroglyphs (Aboriginal rock carvings), chance to spot wild camels, kangaroos and other wildlife, guided Kings Canyon walk.

Special Tours and Optional Activities

Special tours to visit Aboriginal petroglyphs (ancient stone rock carvings) operate in the surrounding region from the lodge and are included in the price of the exclusive packages. A range of optional activities are also available from the station including escorted quad bike rides, camel rides and helicopter flights over Kings Canyon, the Central Ranges and remote waterholes.

Wilderness Lodge Stay for Self Drivers and Groups

Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge is also available for special interest groups and private self-drive touring. Travelling time and distance from Alice Springs via sealed road is 5 hours and 470km.From Uluru (Ayers Rock) via sealed road it’s 3 hours and 300km.
