APT - you have done it again. This was my 3rd holiday with your company in the past 3 years, all done on my own. As usual I met up with a lovely group of travellers, stayed in some amazing hotels and ate in beautiful restaurants. The cruise aboard the Victoria Jenna was most enjoyable and comfortable, taking in magnificent scenery. Our guide Tom was courteous, helpful and organized everything for us so well. I can highly recommend this trip as a great way to see parts of China and experience their ancient history and customs - so different to ours. Thanks again for a memorable trip.

When I was first looking for a cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday I was looking for an asian [sic] cruise . . . up the Mekong and dock in Siem Reap on. There was to be a Cocktail Party and farewell dinner on the night, I thought perfect! I have now returned from this cruise on the La Marguerite, and can not recomend this cruise enough. The attention to detail, the staff are always willing to assist, the tours are informative and well organised and the meals suit any pallet. Even though in April there is very little water and that many times the ship was anchored in the middle of the river and we were transported to shore by smaller boats, the care that all the staff took in making sure that you were able to get on and off the boats was exemplary. The tour guides were very informative and willing to answer any questions that we had and were always making sure that we were ok. I found the most upsetting, enven (sic) though the most interesting, were the Killing Fields on Phnom Penh. to get an understanding of what a terrible history the Cambodians endured during Pol Pot's regime. It is also exciting to see that the young are starting to take pride in their culture and learn the traditions of their people. To see they they will never forget the horrible times but embrace it and go forward from the masacures and become better people for it. If anyone wished to see the REAL Cambodia and Vietnam I would highly recommend it, you couldn't do any better than doing this cruise. Thank you to the crew and staff of the La Marguerite for a 50th birthday that will NEVER be forgotten. We intend to do this cruise again in another year or two but this time later in the year so then there will be more water and we can sail in/out of Tonle Lake in Siem Reap.

A wonderful trip, well organized. Geoff, a great driver, showed us some great sights and always prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty. The weather was perfect, the flight over Lake Eyre was just magnificent. Having been through most of these places in 1993 in the midst of a very severe drought in Australia, everything was just lovely. A real eye opener to see the country so lush (almost). The early pioneers were a special breed, the vast areas they explored, it is well worth doing this tour while you have the chance. It might not rain up there for a long time.

Thank you John Kemp for the most wonderful 15 day Kakadu and Kimberley Wilderness tour. We have many fantastic memories of a group of 16 Aussies and us two Kiwis being guided by Kempy through amazing countryside and walking up rocky gorges! His knowledge of history, flora and fauna, his driving skills and his ability to convey this knowledge through excellent commentary was outstanding. Thanks also to APT for their wilderness camps which all had a slightly different atmosphere and were all excellent. Excellent food was appreciated after a day of traveling and walking, and we enjoyed the wonderful young people manning each camp. A great holiday experience - never to be forgotten and totally recommended.

Took day trip to Buller yesterday. Your driver, Ray, provided faultless service, under some trying circumstances with some patrons being a bit difficult. He is highly commended.

Over immeasurable eons of time. A vast, layered marine environment. Compacted, uplifted, contorted. Now mostly dry. Painted a hundred hues of ochre and ferrous reds So vivid, yet so gently blend. By wind and seasonal deluge, sculptured landscapes. Short lived thundering cascading waters, creating emerald pools with ink dark reflective shadows, pierced by shafts of crystal light. It caverns, a home for prehistoric palm forests, all reaching for the distant sky. Upon these cliffs to crevices precariously cling; boab and fig; and in the plains below, standing like sentimental guards platoons of Boab trees, some slender with youthful sheen. The elders more fittingly corpulent, stand guard. Seemingly supervised by grossly obese, proud and battle scared "Generals" of their kind. All this as if for out touristic visual and scientific delight. In this assaulted wilderness, For trippers, graded rough roads to the horizon stretch, for glamorous tented camps, the luxury of en suite! Each ablaze, in the clear star lit night, A token camp fire: Splendid dinning tent, the menu and wine list All Five Star. No throb of generator, No creaking wind pumps. Now silent Solar cells replace the music of before. Alert dingo, and Kangaroo, Suspiciously watch the swirling dust of the 4WD human parade. Whilst Brolga dance, and Jabiru stand one legged. From them a quizzical sideways glance! Parrots and finch paddle to quench their thirst. On sunny banks, the occasional crocodile, seemingly at rest, one eye open for that meal of chance. And Mining giants cut swathes of traverse to catalogue our common wealth of treasures beneath. Hidden beyond insignificant road signs; We know exist; The scars of vast Open Cut and the roar of industrial might. Where are the indigenous custodians of this land? They should have been our guides our hosts.

We, a family of three, had a very pleasant & impressive experience during our day tour to Canberra from Sydney in May 2010. The tour was well designed. Special mention on our tour guide Mr. James-excellent is our rating-very knowledgeable, polite and courteous and a fabulous narrator.

I recently completed the above tour and could not have been more pleased. Our driver was Dean and he went out of his way to accommodate us. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience such special places as the Bungle Bungles, Tunnel Creek and the Gorges. The staff at each of our accommodations were wonderful and always ready to meet our needs. The staff at the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge are to be especially commended as they do a supurb job. I would definitely travel with APT again.

I recently travelled with a friend from USA on a 5day/4nights tour x Broome to Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek and Bungle Bungles and would recommend this tour. We had a wonderful experience and our driver Dean went out of his way to accommodate the avid photographers on route. The tour was professional and everything went to schedule. The staff at the camp were extremely friendly and helpful and the accommodation and food was very good. The coach was extremely comfortable and clean and we had plenty of stops along the way. The scenery in the Kimberley is beautiful and Mother Nature at it's best. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

On the 3/5/10 I embarked on the most magnificent tour/slash experience of our wonderful Kimberley Region , here in Australia; commencing with the 5 day Broome- Bungles and extending onto Elquestro and Kunnanarra. NOW -I have to come again and travel with APT to experience the Mitchell Plateau . I am in awe of the infrastructure APT has with their established Wilderness Lodges and will have no hesitation in recommending your company and the warm, friendly, proffessional staff that welcomed us and managed our stay. A special mention to Dean our competent coach driver who safely negotiated often quite difficult terrain in the very comfortable Mercedes Bus. We enjoyed his offbeat humour and relaxed friendly approach to our novice outback experience, knowing we were in very capable hands, even tho (sic) we were actually in the lap of luxury, all things considered. This was my first, and definitely not my last experience with APT . ANOTHER PERFECT TOUR

I would like to commend all your drivers during our visit to Uluru May 2010, they were absolutely great, especially TEENA. A member of our group was abusive to Teena and offended everybody on the coach. My wife and I were very impressed in the way she handled the situation, with polite, couteous professionalism. I would like to show my appriciation (sic) to our tour guide Adrian Klein, who brought us around the Yarra Valley Winery and Puffing Billy Tour in Melbourne. He is the most excellent tour guide whom I have encountered in Australia. this trip was so interesting because we had an excellent tour guide who has rich knowledge about Australia. In addition, he was friendly and warm in his service. How I wish every tour, I have his as my tour guide. Mr and Mrs Huang, Singapore

The staff really added to the experience. The driver/guide and also the camp hosts share their experience and it really adds to the appreciation of the area and the people who choose to live there. It was wonderful having Lionel a 13 year old Aboriginal take us to Mitchell Falls. Everyone loved his company and his talks on the art and flora of the area. Russell (the driver) was exceptional. Everyone in the group appreciated his experience, knowledge, personality, driving capability, professionalism, caring nature, humour and attentiveness. He accommodated the needs of everyone and he was a huge part of the success of the trip. He far exceeded expectations.

Our Driver Dan Duncan was excellent - passionate about the areas as well as knowledgeable regarding flora and fauna. He gave a real insight into modern Aboriginal culture and communicated well with everyone throughout the tour. Julie Simpson was a brilliant representation for APT and patiently answered questions about other APT destinations as well as assisted passengers and mingled with everyone. She was professional and courteous always. Julie was a delight to travel with. The El Questro bungalows were fantastic especially the aspect looking over the creak (sic). The favourite was Ungolan for the comfort of the tents. Highlights were Mitchell Falls, Aboriginal Rock Art, Helicopter options and Wilderness Camps.

Rusty, was brilliant, very passionate and professional in all aspects. His knowledge of the Kimberley and surrounding areas is next to none. I would say he is a real asset to APT. Speaking to other group members they all agreed he was awesome and a great leader. The Cable Beach Resort - great location and very nice appeal. I really enjoyed the camps and lodges as the whole group came together at the same time every evening. It was very social and the camp hosts were great, each night was a real surprise and the lunches were great too! The trip was a really amazing experience.

Great Tour. Both Kevin and Kays's standard of professionalism was very HIGH! And a credit to APT. Kevin is a very safe driver, very knowledgeable on the sites, history and culture of the Kimberleys and Northern Territory. Kay is an excellent tour escort who is informative, mixes great with all passengers and ensures all goes smoothly. She was terrific in making sure everyone was entertained. Both Kevin and Kay obviously love their chosen professions and have a passion for their work and APT. The standard of hotels was very high. Meals were fine, plenty of choice and endless supply. Main highlights were Cable Beach, Windjana Gorge, Geikie Gorge, Emma Gorge, Bungle Bungles and the Katherine Gorge cruise.

Kevin, our driver was excellent, he showed a wonderful attitude towards the passengers and was a wealth of knowledge of the area's we travelled too. Kay showed a brilliant care factor and was very diplomatic and professional. Cable Beach accommodation was fantastic from room standard to food and staff. Comfort Inn Kununarra was an excellent standard of accommodation clean and modern and great breakfast. I felt the experience was just brilliant. I have a better understanding now of the area. To sum up, over all (sic) the tour and level of service was great. I totally enjoyed my time. Both our hosts were wonderful and the passengers felt very safe and comfortable. I look forward to telling others about the tour and highlights.

Having just returned from a truly amazing Kimberley tour I just want to say thank you to APT, wilderness camp hosts and our wonderful driver/guide Tim Grylls. He was focussed on our needs 100% of the time and made the tour extremely informative, inspiring and fun. We were the first tour of the season and Tim was excited about it as much as we were. His enthusiasm for the Kimberley and his knowledge and great driving skills were appreciated by all of us. He had our safety and comfort in mind at all times so we had no worries about what to expect on the walks and how much water we should take or what footwear would be suitable. Please extend my sincere thanks to Tim for a really fantastic holiday.

Our APT tour to the Rock was memorable because of the scenery but also John (our driver) was so knowledgeable about history, culture and geological features. Also he was very considerate of all passengers. The tour was well organised taking into account the heat in the middle of the day.

G'day g'day! Sue Gibbons was an outstanding tour guide and made our trip to Australia unforgettable. She is a fantastic person with a fabulous attitude and limitless knowledge. I would definitely recommend an escorted tour to Australia to everyone, and try to get her as your guide! All of the drivers were outstanding as well. Having just returned from Australia, we were very pleased with the efficient service throughout our 3 day tour from pick-up at Ayres Rock Airport to leaving the tour at Alice Springs. The most important factor was our driver/guide, Karl, who was excellent. His knowledge of local flora & fauna & native culture was impressive and delivered in a most interesting manner. We wondered if you could pass the information below to Karl as he had expressed an interest in Greek Mythology.Karl: Many thanks for making our tour so interesting and hope you enjoyed your break with the family after you left us. We were in Melbourne in the middle of February and were lucky enough to have Anthony Bunn as our driver all three days! Not only was he very informative and courteous, he found my camera and returned it to me the following day. If we ever get to Melbourne again, I hope we are lucky enough to have Anthony again as our tour driver. The sights were wonderful as well!

Our coach driver/guide who met us in Alice Springs and then drove us to Uluru and conducted the tours at Uluru was outstanding. "Karl" drove the coach with upmost care and safety and during our drive to Uluru pointed out the important things we should be looking at without any pointless commentary. His tour of Uluru and his knowledge of the Aboriginal culture were superb. He made it all very fascinating, and made you thirst for more information, which he was more than willing to provide. He wroked very hard and even after a late night watching the sunset, he was there the following morning bright and cheerful to take us to Uluru for the sunrise. He then took us to Kata Tjuta and gave a wonderful explanation of the meaning of the mountain. We had a great time on our tour of Australia with APT, but Karl stood out as the best guide we have ever had anywhere. He is a valuable asset to APT. On July 29th 2009 Went on the KWAGKC13-13 Day Kimberly Complete From the time I started the trip it was an experance I shall never forget Rustour driver/guide was terrific nothing was a bother he made the trip and the host at all the camps made us all fell so welcome I have been telling everyone that they should go on this trip

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful Day Tour to Port Stephens with APT Day Tours. The driver was fantastic and helped with any queries we had. His local knowledge was informative and interesting. We loved being greeted at the Repile Park by a 5 year old alligator which we were able to touch. The staff at the Reptile park were very friendly and keen to answer all our questions. My daughter really like the spider enclosure and being able to feed the kangaroos and wallabies. Nelson's Bay is spectacular. The scenery is very beautiful and the Dolphin Cruise was better than I thought it would be as we saw many pods of Dolphins. All passangers aboarded looked like they were having a great time. To cap off what was already a great day we visited the Sand Dunes and rode boards down the biggest dunes I have ever seen. My daughter being a bit of a dare devil and only 7 years old thought this was the highlight of the day. I would highly recommend this tour for all ages especially those travelling with children. Fantastic!

I just wish the tour could have been longer, as i am aware that there are other areas in South Australia that grow grapes/produce Wine and no doubt there would be more gardens we could have visited. But it has certainly enticed me to go to South Australia in the future. Made great new friends and took 4 rolls of photos. The hotel was great, Rodney our Driver was great. What can one say about the wonderful garden created by Ruth Irving at AL-RU farm.

My family and I went on a day's tour to Aussie Cattle Farm, Little Penguins and Koalas (Code: M82+L) on 18 Dec 09 and we had Kevin as our guide to Phillips Island. On 19 Dec, we had Peter as our guide to the Great Ocean Road. I'm particularly impressed by both guides. They're really professional and very knowledgeable! Unlike guides in other countries that I've been to, your guides are thoughtful and really care for the tourists. They provided great information and ensured our safety and well-being. Kevin, in particular, is wonderful as he knows when to speak and when to stop speaking to let us catch some rest. We really appreciate Kevin and Peter sending all of us back to our hotels late at night and smiling even at the end of the long day. Both Kevin and Peter really make our trip to Melbourne this time memorable and I look forward to another tour with APT again!

The Hunter Valley Day Tour was excellent; however, I have a few constructive critics to point out which are: It was fairly unorganized whilst waiting at the Star City for the Bus to come and pick us up and when we arrived to have lunch I suggest that the people that are traveling together are able to sit sit together and this could have been possible by positioning the persons in advance; and lastly, a suitable knife to cut the meat would have been great. I have recently returned from the South West Explorer trip (Oct 18-Oct 27 ) and feel the need to convey to you my feelings. The trip was really great not just because of the fantastic wild flowers, stunning scenery,fellow passengers and comfortable coach but also due to the high standards of the tour guide and driver. Chris Allen was the guide, never fussed, always approachable and a delight to travel with, Steve Bulmer was the driver and as well as providing commentary (and asides) was an excellent driver with a great sense of humour. I had heard from friends that APT was a great company to travel with and it turned out to be true. I hope to repeat the experience in the future.

We have just returned from a Complete Kimberley 13 day trip with APT with Greg Staples as our driver, guide, caterer and general all-round carer. We thought we could not let the opportunity pass without letting you know what a valuable asset you have in this young man. We could not have wished for a better tour guide. His knowledge of the area was unsurpassed and his general care and attention for his passengers left us in no doubt that we were in very capable hands. My mother and I have recently completed the November 2009, 5 day Victorian Homesteads, Mansions and Gardens Tour. We were impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of our coach driver, Craig, and by his care and attention to all his passengers. We loved each place we visited, and were impressed by the itenary. The accomodation and food were excellent. We now have a great collection of photo's of some very beautiful places and great memories of a fantastic holiday.

Dear APT tour group administrator, Recently my wife and I took a tour of Kakadu with your company and we felt that we should let you know how satisfied we are with your operators. We were on tour KNL3 3 Day Top End Highlights for 2 nights booked through David Dadds at Geelong Travel. On Tuesday September 15th we were collected at the Mantra Darwin at a few minutes before our allotted time by John Bell who introduced himself and proceeded to store our luggage in the trailer and asked if we had everything we needed and we then set off to the other motels to collect the rest of the tour group. We arrived at points of interest and meal and evening stops at the time we were advised and at no time were we rushed to do so. The tour was planned so that although we travelled a long distance and saw many sights we were given adequate time to enjoy the experience. John was well dressed, had a clean and comfortable coach and was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the local customs relating to indigenous Australians and pointed out the does and don'ts prior to leaving the coach. He is an excellent driver and at not time during the tour did we feel uncomfortable. Both my wife and I are very happy to stress that he made the tour an extremely satisfying time.

If APT decides to make an award to "Employee of the year",I wholeheartedly nominate Tour Guide/Driver/ Carer Ed Bennett. Aged in our Seventies, we appreciated Ed's guidance on the degree of difficulty of each excursion.He helped us to enjoy the breathtaking sites and sights of both Kakadu and the Wild Kimberleys (so intimately known and obviously loved by Ed).To cap it off-the utterly amazing Wilderness Camps where ingenuity and friendliness of staff together with wonderful menus ending a day around the camp fire just put icing on the cake.Congratulations to APT and thanks to Ed Bennett for a wonderful and unforgettable memory of the country we love so much.

My sincere gratitude to Frank and Jim for making our trip to the little penguin a memorable one. I have been to a numbers of country and ride along some tours and this is the best one i ever experience. I'm a mature woman travelling solo in Australia, and booked into your Uluru Aussie Barbecue. It was a stunning experience of great Aussie food provided in the shadow of the Rock. But it was your people who made it special. As it turned out, I was the only English-speaking person booked for that night. So the bus driver (Dave) brought along his wife so that I would have someone to talk to. To me, that indicates what a special company APT is and what very special staff it has. Thank you so very much Dave - it was a lovely night that I will never forget (and can't stop talking about!)

Dear APT My wife {Elizabeth] and I have just returned from your tour from Darwin To Broome. While we completed the comment form I would like to commend again the contribution to our magnificent [but tiring] holiday due in no small way to your staff at the camps but particularly to our driver Ed Bennett. I am now over 70 and I very much appreciated the indirect way while speaking to the group that he warned me to consider my walking difficulty. In addition his obvious respect for the aboriginal race came through and I was very pleased as to firstly he conveyed the contribution of them to the history of Australia and particularly the respect he showed of them to our overseas travelling companions. We just returned from a wonderful visit to Australia. I have to comment on the fabulous trip we took through APT tours and our great guide Adam. He was so well trained and knowledgeable, we enjoyed it so much. He kept us on time with each stop and gave us such great background information at every site. We learned so much about the history at each stop I would highly recommend this company and I would ask for Adam to be your guide.

We have just returned from the 14 day Western Wildflowers tour of WA with Sue Gibbons as our guide and Steve as our driver. We were thrilled with everything, the hotels, meals, knowledge of guide and driver and the amount of wildflowers we saw. Both driver and guide knew every inch of WA and could not have done more to help us. I would recommend this to anybody but suggest they take warm clothing as the south part was much colder than we expected, do that and you will be fine.

I have recently returned from a 13 Day Kimberley Wilderness Adventure APT tour. I was delighted to find the tour was beyond my expectations. Congratulations! A special mention must be made to the quality and servicing of the food. Most important was the knowlegde and commitment of the Driver/Guide. He was outstanding.

Your tour staff were were the best. Friendly,helpful, interesting dialog on the trip, knowledgeable of the sites and interests one would have about Australia. Any of my friends going in the future to Australia from the U.S. I would recommend them to choose APT. You can always have buses, trucks or equipment but its the people that make the difference. You definitely have that.

We recently did a three day tour of Uluru and Kings Canyon with your company and we just have to say that the driver and tour guide Leo was absolutely by far the most informative guide that we have had in any of our travels and we cannot speak highly enough of him, he was also very pleasant and a wonderful dry sense of humour. Our Driver/Guide was exceptional... his knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Kimberley has made our trip a truely life-enriching experience.

Seeing Mitchell Falls first-hand was something we'll never forget. The walk was great, largely thanks to our excellent Guide, and the helicopter ride was simply breathtaking.

Our Guide made us feel welcome and gave us mountains of information. This was the best experience of our holiday.

This trip was a long time in planning and turned out to be way above any dreams or expectations I had. Everything about it was accomplished with apparent ease by our fantastic driver/guide, Shane Crasswell, who has the nickname, "bushapedia".What Shane doesn't know about his beloved Kimberley can't be worth knowing - flora, fauna, aboriginal culture and rock art, geology,etc. Shane continually went out of his way to help people in our group - leaping partway down Mertens Falls so we could get a better photo, taking us to places that weren't on our official itinerary and during our many gorge walks he continually scrambled from the front to the back keeping an eye on how everyone was coping.The whole tour was brilliantly organised from start to finish - the numerous fantastic places we saw, the accomodation (loved Ungolan and it's refreshing natural pool) and the food prepared by the especially chosen young staff was 5-star! Thank you to all at APT!!!!

We truely enjoyed ourselves along the Great Ocean Road with our witty tour coach guide/driver. He provided us with fascinating highlights to nearly every spot we passed through. The next day we headed off to Healesville, Puffing Billy and The Yarra Valley with another excellent APT tour guide/driver. All said, APT helped to make our first to Australia even more memorable and enjoyable. We can't wait for our next trip downunder!

We were extremely impressed with the outstanding service provided on the trip, not only by the tour guide /driver, but all of the friendly staff at the various Wilderness Camps. The meals and service were of a very high quality as was the cleanliness of the camps including the toilets. The staff at all the camps are a great credit to the company and their enjoymet in their work is very evident.

We truely enjoyed ourselves along the Great Ocean Road with our witty tour coach guide/driver. He provided us with fascinating highlights to nearly every spot we passed through. The next day we headed off to Healesville, Puffing Billy and The Yarra Valley with another excellent APT tour guide/driver. All said, APT helped to make our first to Australia even more memorable and enjoyable. We can't wait for our next trip downunder!

A special mention must be made of our Tour Director. He was experienced, reliable, truely competent and very professional. Happily he was able to impart his knowledge and his experiences to those with him with with appealing clarity and compelling interest. He made the tour the success that it undoubtedly was.

I recently did the 13 day tour through the Kimberleys. Your lodges and camps are amazing feats of providing great food and accommodation in remote locations! All the staff were helpful and friendly. We were lucky in having Dean Stobie as our driver/guide and all in the group agreed he was outstanding in that capacity. His driving skills, especially on the more challenging sections, gave all of us real confidence. And he knew special places to go when time allowed, even when they weren't on the schedule. I think we'd all be happy to see Dean as driver on another APT tour.

Tunnel creek is….a creek that runs in a tunnel (under the Napier Ranges). With our torches we all made our way to the entrance then clambered down a ledge into Tunnel creek. At this time of year the water wasn’t actually very deep – just below knee height in the deepest spot. The creek runs for about 750 metres under ground with some daylight about a third of the way where there’s been a tunnel collapse. We walked the length of the tunnel then walked back. We saw the orange glint of the eyes of a few fresh water crocodiles in the torch beams. Everyone was pleased that the whole group had made it through! I liked Marunbabidi, it was the most basic of the camps we’ve stayed at with no ensuite bathrooms or power points but I felt it had a authentic ‘bush’ feel. This was helped by the fact that the camp is small and and staffed by only 3 people. . . We had a good lunch at Barnet River Gorge then carried on to Galvans Gorge. Galvans Gorge is a beautiful little spot with a swimming hole fed by a waterfall. The Kimberley has 100’s of these types of gorges and we’ve only scratched the surface really. After swimming at Galvans we resumed the journey west along the Gibb. . . another 20kms or so brought us to Imintji camp – our stay for the next two nights. Like Muranbabidi, Imintji also has no ensuite bathrooms but it has got 240v power so I can charge the laptop. Imintji seems about twice the size of Marunbadidi and is set in a nice spot at the bottom of a range.

I recently travelled on your 8 Day Kimberley Adventure tour that departed Broome on 3 June 2009. This was my first tour as a single traveller, and in fact with APT, and I could not have been happier with the arrangements. I would also like to compliment the company on the performance of our driver/guide Greg as his knowledge of the history of the area that we travelled in was magnificent which made my appreciation of the area that we travelled through greater. I was also very impressed with the friendliness and ability of the staff at the various wilderness camps. I will have no hesitation in travelling with APT in the future. Thank you. David Smith

Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed this trip. The two Tailor Made Tours local coach drivers in Alice Springs were excellent both in their commentary and driving skills as was John our APT coach driver who drove us from Alice Springs to Uluru and also took us around Uluru and the Olgas over two days. The accommodation at Alice Springs Resort and Sails In The Desert Hotel at Uluru was very good. The Sounds of Silence Dinner at Uluru was a magical night. Top marks to APT Tours.

My wife Glenice and I have just returned from a 13 day tour of the Kimberley's with your company. My brother in law Bruce Cheetham was our tour guide / driver, however the following comments are not family related. We would like to thank ALL staff of APT for the wonderful experience and for the way the staff at all levels presented themselves, the facilities, and the hard work they did in ensuring that this was an experience of a lifetime. Having worked in a service industry it was refreshing to see people happy in their work and environment, cheerfully working long hours to ensure we all had an experience to be remembered. We particularly enjoyed all of the stunning camp sites and the environment in which they were placed. ( The pool at Ungolan was certainly a fantastic way to end a magnificent day at the Mitchell Plateau.) . . . this was the BEST holiday we have ever had, in the best and most scenic country in the world, made special by the efficiency of your staff in every detail. Our thanks to you all.

Adie was amazing! He knew so much about the area and about general issues concerning Australia. Plus he was articulate and witty. I learnt so much about the country, and not just about the Great Ocean Road. He had this..love for the land he was introducing us to. Not everyone can say that about their tour guides. It's great to see someone so genuinely passionate about his job.

Our driver was very professional and his knowledge was outstanding. The hotels, coach comfort, informative commentary, ease of getting to different places - all good.

Cable Beach was perfect. Fitzroy Rover Lodge - a lot nicer than expected. El Questro - highlight of the tour! I can't tell you how impressed I was with Chilli's Outback Show at El Questro. I think you guys have perfected the tour. Great food, accom, guides etc.

Highlights = Emma Gorge Resort, El Questro, Chamberlain Gorge Cruise, Bungle Bungle Sightseeing Flight, Sunset camel ride on Cable Beach, Ord River Cruise. Our driver was wonderful. Our tour escort was very professional and always keen to assist.

I loved the tents at El Questro - and all the hotels were good. The Triple J Cruise and Bushticker Tour were my highlights.

On the 29th of April 2009 my mum, dad, great aunt and I started our 13 day Kimberley Adventure. I came on this trip not really knowing what to expect at all. It was the best thing I have ever done! I had the time of my life. The group we were with all got along well and I have made some really good friends! I just wanted to say a massive thanks to all your staff that were involved with this tour. I enjoyed staying at the camps so much more than anywhere else. The staff at all the camps were simply amazing (there are too many to name!) - so friendly, helpful, easy to talk to and possessing such a passion for what they were doing. I loved all the swimming - it was my favourite - in gorges, rivers, under waterfalls and, of course, at Ungolan. The walks and the Aboriginal art were amazing too. There is just so much that we did and saw - words really can't describe it! I would also like to say a special thanks to our driver / guide / friend Greg. He was simply amazing and I don't think the tour would have been the same without him as our guide. His passion and knowledge was inspiring. I have never been on a tour like this before but it was said by the rest of the group how lucky and priviliged we were to have Greg. Sorry to go on and on but gain, thanks so much! We have just had a fantastic weekend in Sydney and went on your Sydney City Sights in a Day tour with lunch Cruise on Saturday 3rd May 2008 and it was sensational, we would never have been able to see all those places on our own in the time we had and then we still wouldn't have learnt all there was about Sydney. We would like to make special comment on our bus driver Michael (or as we called him Frank). He knew so much about Sydney and provided us with a witty commentary along the way, he didn't get detered by the lack of enthusiasm from other members of the bus, he kept on with his stories and great knowledge of the areas we travelled through and was happy to take photos for us at each stop. We built quite a rapport with him throughout the day as we did spent nearly 9 hours together and he was a genuinely lovely man. He even literally ran us to the cruise ship as we had been held up because of others on the tour not returning on time so those of us taking the cruise nearly missed it, we looked quite a sight I might say running through Darling Harbour, we were saying it was like the Amazing Race leg of our trip! If all your Drivers/guides are as good as him we will be definately booking future tours with APT. Thank you and be sure to let Michael know how much we appreciated his hard work over the day, we had the best day ever!!

I have just returned from Melbourne 2 weeks ago with my girlfriend after spending 10 days in Australia. Two of the most memorable events during my trip with APT were to Great Ocean Road and The Penguin Parade on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2008 respectively. Besides the spectacular scenaries and experiences that these 2 trips have brought, another factor which grabbed our attention was your driver by the name of Adrian. He is the best driver-cum-guide i have ever met. He knows minute details of the places he has brought us to. This is a guy who has done his homework and i must say that what he had done is highly commendable because he is able to get the information right. His explanation is so concise. When we came back from Singapore, we missed his humour and his wonderful working attitude which are lacking in that profession right here in Singapore. I hope this feedback can be forwarded to him because i feel that he deserves credits for making our maiden trip to Australia, particularly Melbourne more exciting. I will be visiting Melbourne again some time next year and Ballarat and the Mornington Peninsula are the 2 places we want to visit next. Hopefully, Adrain can be our driver-cum-guide again. Lastly, i hope Adrian does remember me if he read this feedback because i am the guy who vomitted due to motion sickness during the Great Ocean Road.

Just a short note to tell you how much we enjoyed our APT vacation last month. We toured the east coast on the Barrier Reef Island Wanderer itinerary (departing May 8) (as well as an Uluru 3-day tour following our coach tour) and can't say enough good things about Kris, the Tour Director, and Marty, the Coach Driver. This is the seventh coach tour we've taken and the other six (all in Europe with other tour companies) can't even compare. It was the best trip we've ever taken and we were so impressed with APT we'll be booking with you again. Thank you so much for giving us such a special, in depth look at your beautiful country. We have just completed the Kimberley Scenic Tour that left Broome. It was one of the best tour and adventures that we have ever done.The itinery was well organised, the camp sites and accommodation great, and we couldnt fault one thing. Credit must go to the staff who manned the camps but particularly Ed Bennett our tour Guide and Driver who went out of his way to make the trip enjoyable as well as safe for all concerned. He was one of the best tour guides we have come across in our many travels over the years and the way he handled all problems especially when one of our tour party broke her ankle in Emma Gorge. Once again KWA who made our trip through the Gibb River Road and the Kimberleys a trip to remember forever.

We. . . did a Tour of Kakadu and Gary our Tour Guide again kept up the standard we expect from APT. We will be doing further tours next year and will consider APT as out touring company again.

I just want to mention that I've met two of the most wonderful guides I ever saw. One of them was in Melbourne-Aus and the other one in Sydney-Aus. I took a trip to the Sherbrooke's Forest on August 13 and Adrian, our guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to him. Also Jack, in Sydney, the trip to the Blue Mountain on August 21. Amazing guy! Great culture, on any subject... He told us how is to live in Australia, he touched everything. He talked all the way there and back. He stopped in different places and explained the history of them and he even took us to Olympic Village that was not included in the trip. I saw he loves his job, he's very proud of his country and gives him a great pleasure to talk about it. I've learned from him and from Adrian a lot. Great people! I don't know how much they earn, but they deserve a lot, and you should be proud to have them. Congratulations!

Uluru sunset drinks and walk to artwork, and Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge - all fantastic! Thank you very much for the opportunity. I had a wonderful time and really appreciate visiting this part of Australia. The whole thing has been very special.

Uluru was great, but Kings Canyon was spectacular and Hermansburg was fascinating. Also Gosse Bluss was a very interesting place to stop and look at. The accommodation was all very nice. Voyages in Alice Springs was a great location - very handy to tow. The rooms there and at Yulara were nicely presented and the staff were efficient and courteous. The wilderness lodge was beautiful - food was great and staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

We were a group of 20, and all fitted well in, and had a lot of fun together, not least because our driver / guide 'Gaylene', was eminent in her way of looking after us, and having an enormous knowledge of the area, the fauna, animals, culture etc. The camps were beautifully placed, and the staff absolutely the best int their service and behavious, and we really enjoyed the tents, and also the many actvities which guaranteed a healthy exercise, and appetite.

Good morning! We recently had a two week tour with APT from Sydney to Port Douglas . . . and just wanted to say a big "thank you" to our driver Terry and tour director, Glen. They were brilliant - full of interesting facts and lots of fun. We would certainly recommend your company to friends. We were not sure how we would take to a coach tour as it is not something we normally do. However, we did have a great group of people but Terry and Glen made a huge difference. When we next take a "big holiday" (probably New Zealand), we will definitely be in touch. We really enjoyed the Henderson Farm Stay - Marie and David were brilliant fun and we had a wonderful time there but felt for the the rest of the group that had to stay in Rockhampton - this apparently was not a nice place to stop. However, we realise the difficulties. Again, thank you to Terry and Glen. You are very lucky to have such fantastic staff.

I went with my mother on the 23 day tour of Australia and New Zealand with a 2 night stopover in Fiji first. Our tour of Australia and New Zealand was with tour guide Kay Chambers and she was so much fun. The tour was very organized and she was so professional and fun. We had the best time. It was the best tour I have ever been on. Loved the hotels we were in and the day trips were awesome. Kay went out of her way to help us and she gave us lots of options on our free time with help to choose them. I was so glad we toured with Kay and APT. I would love to go again.

Just returned from 3 wks. doing the Southern Explorer. Our tour guide, Sue Gibbons, was fantastic. Her love of her job and knowledge are second to none. I have been on many such tours before in Europe and the British Isles and never have I had such service. APT really are the best and one of the things is the fact you have smaller groups (no more than 24 I understand) The coach drivers were absolutely marvellous, excellent drivers, knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. This is the best trip I have ever taken. We were gone altogether some 2l days with Sue and our group and then ended the trip with 5 days in Fiji. I cannot say enough about Sue. She all but tucks you into bed at night she is so conscientous and professional. HEr love of life and wonderful sense of humour made the trip even better. We absolutely loved Australia and NZ and the beautiful scenery. We think we got a really good sense of both countries and saw all the major sights etc. Hotels were the best ever and food was excellent especially the breakfasts. I cannot say anything negative whatsoever and when I take another APT trip I only wish I could have Sue every time. I fear I have been spoiled for any future tours.

The experience we had at Mt Borradaile with the rock art and burial sites was a highlight.

We joined Kay and Les for one of the best run tours we have taken. Kay knew where every wildflower was along the roadside, and Les had an unlimited knowledge of Australia and its agriculture etc. We were inspired by Kay singing in churches and other places, and enjoyed the entire 15 days.

The flexibility of touring and dining made all the difference, and it was all included in the price. Fantastic!

Our Tour Director, Leigh, and his protégé, Phil, were superb as were all the coach drivers - professional, personable & knowledgeable. Itinerary was near perfect and we believe we got a tremendous exposure to the diversity of cultures and landscapes of this wonderful country. We wouldn't have changed a thing and the tour exceeded every expectation. Thank you APT.

I just returned from Australia a few days ago and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Kings Canyon. We were fortunate to meet Myles McClure, who was able to give us a great overview of the entire operation. I can honestly say it was the highlight of our 5 weeks in Australia. I only wish we had been able to spend a 2nd night there to fully enjoy the outback environment. The tented accommodations were outstanding and the dinner under the stars was great. The addition of the high powered telescope was a great touch to appreciated the amazing night skies. The next morning came just a little too early- after such a fun night, but we managed to make it to the canyon as dawn was breaking and enjoyed a memorable hike around the rim and into the canyon. I will admit that after our visit to KC, and your property, Ayers Rock, seemed too superficial and paled in comparision. We were spoiled. We think APT is really on the right track with the development of this property and I can see that no journey to the Red Centre would be complete without a stay at Wilderness Lodge. Nancy L. Our guide had a lot of knowledge and expertise of the local area. He told great Aboriginal stories and kept us informed all the time. Highlights were Sunset at Uluru and morning base walk. Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge and the Kings Canyon rim walk, as well as sunset drinks and nibbles at the look out at the wilderness lodge.

Sightseeing highlights are Ormiston Gorge, Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock and the APT BBQ. Accommodation was great throughout - no complaints.

Commentary, driving, flexibility, friendliness, organisation - all excellent. Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge - heated tents! fantastic! food was amazing. Telescope was great and sunset drinks up on the hill. Such a beautiful peacefull setting.

Highlights were Uluru, Aboriginal dot painting, Olgas, Kings Canyon, Ormiston Gorge, Palm Valley. Especially the bbq at Uluru and Kings Canyon. I had a wonderful time. APT do it the best.

The accommodation standard offered on this tour was very comfortable, clean and the Wilderness Lodge was beautiful more than what was expected [sic]. Our tour escort was one of the most friendliest and knowledgeable people to meet. Very helpful and always made sure things ran smoothly.

Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge - great place to relax. Uluru sunset and dinner - it was a lot better than expected. Star show was magnificent. Bus - comfortable spacious, tv was wonderful.

All good. Especially Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge - where our host Myles was welcoming and the facilities and food were excellent. Enjoyed Kings Canyon, sunset at Uluru, Cultural Centre and galleries. Everyone seemd very happy with our driver / guide, the standard of accommodation and the pace of the tour.

Just returned from a two-day tour of Kakadu with APT and just loved it and the way it was run. Our driver was excellent - he ran a very tight ship in a charming way and we all cooperated and got to see everything in sufficient time. I was impressed with the bus - extremely comfortable, clean and felt safe. I last travelled with you 30 years ago. Didn't realise you had expanded so much. Always thought bus travel was for the elderly. Now I realise it is a great way to see the best of everything. I now want to go back and see more. Also great that I was able to stay in accommodation of choice.

I had a fantastic time on this tour, and was really pleased to get a taste of the APT small group 4WD experience, especially in such a beautiful part of the country. Fabulous food and beautiful wilderness lodge at Kings Canyon.

I have just done the ancient Kimberleys tour from Broome to Darwin with Kay as the tour director and Les as the Driver. Linda was also aboard on the team on a survey. I can only say how much I was impressed with the amount of dedication and attention to detail that Kay and Les put into the trip. Every step of the way they had information on plants and places, history, scenery and the locals. Nothing was too much and they really made the trip an interesting time. I have done a lot of travelling around the world and I was very comfortable with being shown around 'my own backyard' by Kay and Les. Their energy and vitality kept us all on our toes and the entire group - which had an age range from mid 40s to over 80 (I think) were all very well taken care of. Additionally it is worth mentioning some of the additional guides along our way - from the Ord River with Michelle, the Bungle Bungles with Kat and our pilot Gian, plus Buddy at Chamberlain Gorge, Taffy at Katherine Gorge, plus more that I can not recall for now, the whole trip was excellent and your feedback form at the end of the trip did not seem sufficient to be able to let you know what a great job that Kay and Les did. Even though the coach had radiator issues etc, the very fact that Les kept everyone informed and let them all feel as if they were sharing his solution etc meant that we felt part of the team. For many of the group it was fun to have that bit of excitement. Kay made little visits to special places even more special when she sang - we were very lucky. And when Les could stop beside a tree in the middle of the outback - toot and have a bird pop its head out of a hole in a tree - it was very funny. The info and things we learnt along the way made the trip so much more interesting and special for us. Nothing was too hard or too much trouble = so if there is any way of recognising their special efforts - they are worthy of such accolades. You have a very good team and many of the other tours and tourists looked on with envy as we made our way around the Kimberleys.

My husband and I departed Broome in the June 2008 for a 13 Day Kimberley Adventure. We have done a lot of travel in outback Australia through the territory etc independly and I would consider us to be fairly well travelled Aussies. However somehow the Kimberley had always eluded us. We found in the Sunday paper and add for the above trip. I am not a person who enjoys being in a group of any sort, so I had some real reservations about this venture. I called your booking office for more details spoke to Michelle (from Canada) and from the very start your staff I found to be professional and pleasant in their attitude to their jobs. Michelle did everything for us from our airflights to Broome our accommodation in Broome and our itinery.I asked a lot of questions and I was given all the answers I needed to convince me that we should give this idea a go. So we booked. Paul and I had the most wonderful 13 days of our life thanks to all your dedicated staff. We travelled with the greatest group of people everybody got on so well. As we were an added tour there were a few changes in our accommodation along the way, which worked out just great for us. Our favourite stays were at your wilderness camps.The staff do their jobs with a passion they just seem to love what they are doing.They all made us feel so welcome and tended to our every need. Konrad one of your staff members who had only been working at Imintji Camp for a few days came with us to Bell Gorge. He is a great young guy. Very easy to talk to very helpful and I believe a real asset to your business. Our tour was the first to stay at Home Valley Resort. There is still a lot of building going on there but we were made feel very comfortable in tents and as it was just on dark when we arrived it looked like a fairyland with all the lights that were set up for us. All our meals were superb and the way they were presented puts a whole new meaning to camping. Our visit to I think it was Mimbee Caves on our way to Fritzroy Crossing from Hall Creek was really terrific.We had three aboriginal guides Ron being the main one,who took us through the caves explaining their dream time as we went then Rose had damper and billy tea ready for us at the end and Ron got his guitar going and proceeded to play and sing.It was just awesome.This visit was not on our itinery so it was a great surprise. I cannot conclude without a wrap for our driver, guide, sometimes mother never ending source of information along the way Steve. Like all your staff out there in the wilderness they do their job with a passion and Steve took us through thirteen days of a truly unforgettable experience that we cannot stop talking about. I believe if you don’t have a good guide you don’t have a good trip and we had the time of our lives. Forgive me for going on and on but I feel you need to know how hard your staff work and just how dedicated they are to ensuring all of us that travel with you have a wonderful and never to be forgotten time. To all at APT My husband and myself have completed a cruise on the Amadolce from 2nd August to 16th August. I am just writing to let you know that it was the cruise of a lifetime. We met lovely people and as far as the staff go, they were just fantastic, couldn't do enough for us. Our cabins were very spacious including the French Balcony where we sat sipping a wine occasionally while cruising down the rivers watching the passing scenery. Meals on board were as good, if not better, than anything served from a top restaurant, seconds were offered also, not that you needed them after the soup and entree. Not to forget the complimentary wine with dinner. Not having to put our hands into our pockets every time there was a tour, as this is all included was another bonus. The tours were very well organised. Coaches were never packed, were very spacious. Anyhow APT, this has been our first time travelling with your company and it wont be the last. Many thanks

My wife and I had the good fortune to be passengers on the Amadagio on the above cruise and having spent, off and on, the last few months editing and arranging my many photographs I have now sent copies down under to some of the couples we met. As the only Scots couple, on board, along with about fourteen other Europeans we were outnumbered by something like 16 to 86 by the Wallabies. We appreciated very much the welcome we received from them on their/your ship. They made us feel very much at home particularly with senses of humour similar to our own. Of course it takes "Two to Tango" and the crew and staff did their utmost, and beyond, to ensure that all the " dots and I's" were underlined for a memorable vacation. I have already sent an email of appreciation to your Cruise Director, Pili, and I also recognise the expertise and experience, from the Captain to the Cabin staff, being particularly impressed by their "hands on" actions; the Captain physically assisting in fixing the gangway from ship to shore and the Maitre De, on being asked for something, did not disturb the busy routine of the waiters but dealt with the matter himself. In April we were able to reciprocate, to a small extent, the welcome of an Australian couple, from the cruise, on a day visit to Aberdeen and they were full of praise for the door to door travel arrangements you made for them in coming to Europe and getting back home. We were reminded of our first APT experience of a coach tour of North and South Islands of New Zealand when, in 2005, we had an extended holiday of 41 days via Hong Kong, the Antipodes and Singapore. My wife and I have been on some 24 cruises, admittedly on much larger ships, and we are not comparing like with like but I think that we have been suitably converted, particularly as we are senior citizens plus and it is our intention to complete the other end of the cruise from Budapest to the Black Sea, hopefully in 2012. Since our return, on social occasions, when we have been telling friends and acquaintances of our cruise some have expressed an interest and unfortunately I have already given away the DVD and brochure that I took from the ship. Would you please send me 3 DVD's and brochures of your European Cruises. Congratulations and Many Thanks to All concerned.

My wife and I have participated in 8 cruises including ocean and up till this recent cruise Budapest to Amsterdam we have never encountered a cruise director as good as Argentiian Debbie Albrecht (name tag). Her efforts were absolutely staggering in describing the history of the towns and cities that we visited. Everyone on board loved her. She carried out her tasks always with a smile on her face and nothing was ever any trouble to her, she even helped passengers unload our suitcases.She was also a grand singer singing "Don't cry for me Argentina" on the night of the crew's concert. On the tour side of things, as most of the passengers were middle aged to elderly we thought that the tour guides brought in for the major tours e.g Nurnberg and Coln eetc were over informative and created sometimes boredom, other than that 9/10 .

We have just returned from a most wonderful trip. We were met the first evening in our hotel in Zurich by our cruise director Peter Whitehead and from that moment on we felt completely confident that this was going to be a trip to remember. Our 5 day pre cruise visit in Switzerland was fantastic - the weather gods even blessed our trip up the Schilthorn. Then onto the Amalegro in Basel for a fantastic 15 days cruising up the Moselle and the Rhine to Amsterdam. Wow - the scenery, the cabin, the food and most of all the staff!!!!! I have a special diet and within a couple of days every crew member remembered my menu. We can not speak highly enough of the whole experience - the daily tours, the on board entertainment but the gem of the pack was Peter. His organisation, humour and ever smiling efficiency made every day run so smoothly. We highly recommend this as a holiday for all - laze if you wish - tour towns or go shopping, it is all easy and so much FUN!!!!!

Dear Geoff, We would like to send you a message thanking you for providing us with the most wonderful holiday of our lives. The MS Amabella is the most beautiful river cruising ship and everything from the accommodation to the food was just divine. We wanted to let you know that our cruise manager Elke did everything in her power to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. She worked tirelessly to care for all of her passengers. We had an experience in Vienna where a guided tour including coffee and cake at local café proved to be quite disappointing as it certainly wasn't of the wonderful standard we had come to expect on board the ship. After giving this feedback to Elke the next day, she sent us a lovely cake which she had asked the chef to make especially for us and included a personal card saying that although she couldn't take us back to Vienna, would we please accept the cake as an apology for the not so brilliant service, and like Empress Sissi, enjoy Budapest even more than Vienna! My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful cruise through Europe on the MS Amadante. We departed Amsterdam on 23 May and reached Budapest on June 6. We thoroughly enjoyed our time because of the excellent attention to detail by APT. All aspects of our cruise were well organised and executed - from the quality meals, the service in our rooms, the tour guides who took us to discover new places and the technology provided to ensure that everyone on the walking tour could clearly hear what the tour guide was describing. The Cruise Director, Christian Abker deserves special mention. We experienced some difficulties on our cruise - I guess this is normal- we had some illness amongst the guests and some necessary changes caused by flooding of the Danube River. Christian was extremely helpful and efficient in dealing with each difficulty as it arose. He also gave us detailed briefings each day so that we knew exactly what was taking place and how the events of the following day would occur. We were very appreciative of his care, his attention to detail and his helpfulness. The Captain of the MS Amadante also needs special recogntion for his adept handling of the ship in circumstances where water was rising, low bridges needed to be negotatied and closure of the river moorings were imminent. Thanks to his skill and knowledge of the river our boat managed to get as far as Vienna as the Danube waters rose and prevented mooring in Budapest. This trip was the holiday of a lifetime for us and thanks to the excellent team of APT staff we had a wonderful experience. We will certainly be planning another trip using APT in the future. Thank you APT for providing a travel service where every need is catered for and to a very high standard.

We have just returned from the APT Amsterdam to Budapest cruise. Peter, our tour leader , was amazing - always amusing , charming, unruffled - he made the trip for us. The crew particularly Georgie, Hiro,in the dining room and our cabin steward Alexendrio & her husband (in the laundry) were a first class team. We will recommend our friends to travel with your company and I am sure they will share the same experiences as we did. The entertainment, you provided was again first class - thanks for a memorable, amazing criuse.

The whole cruise was fantastic and we cannot praise the crew and the Cruise Director highly enough. All the tours were brilliant, very informative and well researched and extra little tours were included. The ship was great, the cabins were roomy, the food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Being retired 'hands on' hoteliers ourselves we are probably more critical than most but everything was of a very high standard. On this experience we are already considering another River Cruise next year and will certainly be in touch with you all again and will be recommending your company to our friends as well. On the 9th May 2010 my daughter and I started an APT 17 day tour of Italy, this started in Rome and finished in Budapest. I would like to commend you on employing such a fantastic tour director. I have done 8 tours in the last 10 years, this is the first time I have toured with APT. Our tour director, an Englishman whose name was Nick Durston, was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. This man not only knew Italy like the back of his hand and spoke fluent Italian, but nothing was too much trouble, he was an absolute gentleman for the whole 17 days. When we didnt have an included meal he would make suggestions as to where we could eat or, like in Venice he found a very reasonably priced litle restaurant in the bowels of Venice which we all went to including him. He took us places that wern't on the itinerary and went out of his way to organise things for our free time if we were interested. We (as a group) always invited him to join us for dinner and he was wonderful company every single time. He also accompanied us on every city tour with the city guide, which was great, I know it made us all feel a little more comfortable knowing that our trusted leader was just behind us, keeping the herd together :). I would be over the moon to turn up to a tour and find Nick as our tour director again. I mean that in all sincerity he must be one of if not your best. I know a tour director can make or break a tour, I have previously had the worst.... it spoils a good and expensive holiday for everyone. My wife and I did a 15 day river cruise starting on the 28th of March. It was an outstanding experience and you can use me as a reference if you wish. The standout feature among the many was Peter Whitehead.... he was entertaining, helpful, energetic and full of fun. In other words he was a superman minus the cape. The service and food/drink were magnificent always with variety and friendly staff. I would try one other of you trips especially with Peter as the guide (even though he supports Collingwood).

Noeleen and I are just back from what was a life changing, glorious experience, touring the European Rivers in ms Amadagio. We are taking the liberty of sending you some feed back. Please feel free to disregard this as we know you are always flat out there in Hampton Street! Prague was just magnificent and we had the most wonderful guides (in fact the standard of guides for the entire trip was just wonderful). We would like in particular to thank Marta for her warm and detailed hospitality and friendship in Prague. Her more junior assistant was also lovely, as was the latter's remarkable multi-lingual mother for the Prague walking tour. Although APT did not emphasise the bus trips we had (Prague to Budapest and later Amsterdam to Paris), they were absolute highlights of our journey - again with splendid guides aboard. Now what can we say that is adequate about our magical 2 weeks cruising on ms Amadagio? It was simply heaven on water, Robert...!! The whole experience, the accommodation, the truly wonderful crew and staff, the food (wow!) and the whole professional organisation from the first to the last, the route travelled, was as perfect as it could possibly be. APT are to be congratulated and it made us Aussies feel very proud. The non-stop touring programmes in each port kept us on our toes and I (John) particularly enjoyed the 6km bike ride along the banks of the Main, between two ship berthing stops. Provision of those bikes is a wonderful APT facility too. The nightly entertainment was a great surprise package, at least for us, and especially the magnificent "La Strada" classical music group from the Brussells Conservatorium (they drove for 5 hours each way to perform for us on the ship that night!). They are concert hall standard - magnificent. We would like to make special mention of a couple of staff on the ship, although this is not to imply in the slightest that every single one of them was not splendid. The ship Engineer, Laslo, was a great gentelman, always available to help us with our computer glitches and he showed a few of us over the engine room of the Amadagio too. (he also patiently helped me with my spoken German !). Georigo from Bulgaria became a great favourite of our Aussie small group in the Restaurant and he looked after us in a personal and delightful way for the whole trip. The outstanding young lady guide, Stephanie, who took us through Bamberg in Germany was such a delight too. We hope APT can retain her services there. However, it was the beautiful and talented Cruise Director on the ship, Pili from Argentina, who simply blew us away. She was a true professional at her work, had interpersonal skills that I have never seen bettered, and she made our trip even more enjoyable. Her knowledge all along the way, her presentations and her sheer grace and charm had everyone singing her praises. She is an absolute APT jewel, Robert, and we do hope APT manage to retain her services. She worked tremendously hard round the clock during the cruise, and we wondered when she managed to eat and sleep (she is very slim), and if she was pushing herself too hard as a lone Cruise Director? I said to her I thought she should have an assistant to ease her burden a little (don't misunderstand me here; she was in complete command of her duties at all times). She would also be great to train an APT understudy to her role? There were too many highlights for us to pinpoint any one in particular, but among them, one recalls the beautiful impromptu opera singing (Mozart and Puccini) solos in the Budapest Opera House Foyer, the Vienna Concert, Durnstein village, Bamberg, Wurtzberg and the glass blower, the amazing Danube-Main canal and its locks and engineering, the Rhine Gorge and naturally, the finish in Paris with our great guide, Emma! The night at the Moulin Rouge and the night city tour of Paris were special. Airlines: First, Singapore Airlines both going and coming, were a simply delightful experience. We do not recall having flown on a more lovely Airline. Changhi Airport has to be the most magnificent airport in the world now, surely? Incidentally, and nothing to do with APT, but the Eurostar journey from Gard du Nord, Paris to St Pancras, London 2nd Class), was a delight. It remains for us to thank you and APT sincerely for making this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible. WE shall never forget it. What APT are achieving is quite mind-boggling and you all do Australia proud. I wish we could do the whole cruise again!! Kind regards, John and Noeleen Williamson.

Just a short note to let you know that we have returned from one of our best holidays, aboard the "Amadolce" from Budapest to Amsterdam. The crew, from the deckhands to the captain were excellent, full of information, assistance when and if required and the dining room staff were exceptional in their attention to every ones need. The meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner with wines etc. and snacks during the day surpassed all expectations. The city tours and "Freedom of choice tours" were well organised and the guides were very experienced in the commentary of the region. The entertainment in the evenings was very enjoyable with local artist adding the extra atmosphere. The scenery was wide and varied and points of interest were broadcast on the P.A system well before they became into view, enabling the passengers to prepare themself for the best photo opportunities. My wife and I wish to thank, the booking staff for assisting us in our planning and some changes, all of the crew of the "Amadolce" and associated staff who made this holiday an unforgettable experience We have, and will recommend this cruise to any one.

We recently returned from our holiday on the Amadagio cruising from Budapest to Amsterdam and would like to express our sincere appreciation to APT and all of the staff involved in making our trip so memorable. We were very impressed with the organisation leading up to and during our trip especially the excellent performance of our Cruise Director Pili Gil. The daily information sheets were helpful in planning our daily activities and gave very useful insights into the locations to be visited. The quality of food provided was first class. The food and wine waiters were very attentive as well as creating an enjoyable atmosphere. The Tour Guides proved to be very knowledgeable and they made our excursions most interesting. We have no hesitation in recommending an APT River Cruise to our friends.

We are writing to express our extreme satisfaction with the APT Amsterdam – Budapest Cruise that we have recently enjoyed. Whilst not being experienced travellers we have been to Asia (three times), Europe (Sweden, England and Ireland) and New Zealand over the last decade. The quality of your holiday package together with the professionalism and friendliness of your staff was first class. The daily briefings, both verbal and in writing, meant that we were always fully aware of what was ahead without any effort on our part. A significant factor was the family ambience that your staff, and in particular the Cruise Director Jan Bryde, were able to very quickly implement gave us a pleasant insight into the culture of your company. Our Arrival On leaving Melbourne my wife discovered that she had left some important medication behind. This was of concern to us on the Melbourne-Singapore-Frankfurt-Amsterdam flight. On arrival at the MS Amadolce we spoke to your Cruise Co-ordinator Bernie who immediately (i) contacted the local hospital, (ii) arranged for and accompanied us to the hospital, (iii) spoke to the doctor and had a prescription made out (we had a letter from our local doctor), (iv) located a pharmacy that was open and had the medication (the hospital didn’t have sufficient supply in stock), (v) took us to the pharmacy and assisted us get the medication, and (vi) then took us back to the boat. On returning to the boat we were very grateful for his actions and wanted to offer some item of thanks. His response was “thanks but it isn’t necessary as it is a part of my job and the culture of the Company”. Subsequently during the cruise two other passengers fell ill and required hospitalisation. This was handled superbly by Jan who kept us passengers fully informed on their progress. Given that I believe the average age of the passengers was around 63 these action provided my wife and I, and many other passengers that we spoke to, a great deal of confidence. These sentiments are being, and will continue to be, passed onto our friends. We are now planning to undertake the Paris-Barcelona holiday in late 2010 on the MS Swiss Pearl. The trip was absolutely fantastic. It really was the trip of a lifetime. When we boarded the boat, Christian said he planned to make it a trip we would never forget. He and the rest of the crew and associated people succeeded admirably. We are now ready to go again! But a few of the highlights: • All of the staff (guides, local guides, ship's crew) were of amazingly high quality (where do you find them????). We were really made to feel special. They were all warm and friendly and caring. • There was always something to do - or nothing to do if you chose - no pressure but every encouragement and support. • The care taken to ensure we were comfortable was exceptional - Jan had a bad ankle for a week and special care was taken to ensure that she was OK with the walks or could access a ride. • The boat crew soon became first-name friends - they worked so hard and still sought the little things that caused you to gasp and smile (the towels in the room folded like rabbits reading - with my glasses on and a novel open in front of them!) • The food - well - what can I say - 5 courses every dinner and never heard "Sorry, we have run out of that." and served so quickly (any restaurant could learn from that) and they were delicious and accompanied by the best wines from across Europe. Breakfast and lunch were as impressive. • Off boat accommodation was amazing (especially in Brugge! The Duke's palace!) • I am running out of superlatives. Peter, we had the holiday of a lifetime. And we thank you for making it possible. And thank APT for insisting on quality - we certainly got it. We are keen to do another one and are looking for options. But our clear preference is to do one with APT. You made your point. You care about your clients. And that is paramount for us. We are saving very hard. Many, many thanks for the favours you were able to afford us. They made a memorable trip unforgettable. I don't ever take photos but I took over 1500. That probably says something. Although I have to admit that a few were of locks, and some were of castles and a few cathedrals. The ABC or river cruising. . . . . . . But I would do it all again tomorrow - exactly the same trip - without boredom.

Just a note to thank you for a most wonderful celebration of my 75th birthday. Although the weather was not kind, the cruise made every day “sunny”. I have learnt over the years of dealing with many companies, the choice of employees reflects the moral fibre of management and the McGeary family are to be commended. A family run business for over 80 years say something about the quality of the owners. As you know I am a stickler for delivery of safety instructions to those unfamiliar with new surroundings. The Captain of ms Amadolce, although small in stature, towered above the passengers expectations as one of the most knowledgeable, sincere, and in his delivery of precise instructions to a somewhat bewilded audience. His interweaving of “tongue-in-cheek” humour made his charge of passengers easy to accept. His instructions as to correct procedures remained with the passengers throughout the trip. He was always there when required and his group viewing of the sophistication of the sailing and management of the ship was a highlight. It was an honour to be in his presence. Sue, our cruise director, was outstanding. Always available, knowledgeable, helpful and just that little bit of inner personality made the most grumbling passenger feel at “home”. Sue helped me through a most distressing time, as I developed a chest infection that required a doctor’s care. Without fanfare, she calmly arranged a doctor’s visit, obtaining the necessary medication and showed sincere concern for my problem. I was not alone in her realm of concern...she had time for all on board and in conversation retained our names, backgrounds, past experiences and corrected problems we encounted. Minor repairs were fixed immediately. You know the odd squeaking door, the occasional jammed lock and the inexperience of computer use. All was handled with care, proficiency and patience. All the staff was kind, helpful and delivered their service with pride and efficiency. I also want to thank you for helping me make contact with Sharon Kelly. Sharon left a telephone message indication APT’s willingness to help “The Clown Doctors”. Every child will know of the kindness of APT as we try to put a smile on their sad faces. I will be speaking to Sharon today, delivering details she requires. And so Chris many people of my age “don’t buy green bananas” anymore, but Carolyn and myself are “died in the wool” optimists, never looking back, so we are planning my 80th birthday with APT. Hi to all at APT We would like to pass on our thanks for a wonderful cruise starting in Paris and finishing in Prague. We sailed on the Amacello and everything was perfect. The cruise director, Debbie was wonderful as were all the crew. My husband is allergic to mustard and the catering staff ensured he was well catered for. Your company certainly creates a holiday that is both relaxing and informative and the most memorable part for me is being able to wake up and start touring just by opening the curtains. We cruised last year from Amsterdam to Budapest and our cruise director was Peter Whitehead who was very special. Didn't think we'd ever see him again but he was actually directing another cruise and staying at the same hotel in Prague. Great to see him again. Well done. We look forward to taking another trip in a couple of years and very interested in Canada, so will keep an eye on your newsletters

This holiday has to be the best value for money on the market. The fantastic staff from the Captain to the Room Steward could not have been better. The huge amount of "extras" that were included in the cost were great money savers (from the bottled water freely given, to the buses and tips) l would have no hesitation in recommending this cruise to anyone looking for great food, service,sightseeing,relaxing and only one unpacking.

Frankly it was EXCELLENT. Laurel and I had a most enjoyable holiday and could of asked for no more than what the tour provided. The staff were excellent, extremely helpful and most pleasant and made the trip a wonderful experience. The tour directors did a great job and accommodated every wish without hesitation and provided much insight into the culture and history of the areas visited and this was backed up by the local guides in the various locations. My wife and I recently completed a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam and we would like to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t speak highly enough of the APT Cruise Director Kay Hecht, the ship’s crew and hotel staff, the ship itself and the way everything just happened. The on-board entertainment was also outstanding. We have included below our little epistle which we sent to all friends and family around the globe. We would not go past APT for a future holiday. Linda on the Zuiderdam was a happy go lucky and amusing hostess to travel with . we are looking forward to our trip to Vietnam next year.

Just want to say - our trip from Amsterdam to Budapest on the "Amadolce" was absolutely fabulous. We had brilliant weather most days. The staff and crew were world class, the tours so informative and excellent guides and we never heard a complaint from anyone on board. Thank you to all involved, especially those who do the hiring of staff, tour operators and entertainers - it's no mean feat. Our trip was much appreciated by all our fellow passengers we enjoyed the food it was 5 star quality all the way and the little surprises along the way. All the staff had a great sense of humour which appealed to us Aussies. Even the hitches and glitches along the way were smoothed over efficiently and all we can say is a huge thank you to APT once again for another holiday of a lifetime - the easy way, 5 Star instead of 1 million stars !! Our motto now is - "If it's anywhere special in the World you want to see - the best and only way is to go with APT"

The Budapest to Amsterdam cruise was an absolute delight. It exceeded my most ambitious expectations by a huge margin and left nothing to be desired. It was the best holiday I have ever had. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

The organisational skills of the cruise director, coupled with her bright personality and great knowledge of the places she took us really made this trip for us. It is an experience that will live with us for many years to come, of course the crew of the Amadagio saw to our every need as well.

The tour was aptly named "magnificent" - every detail of our trip was so well organised from the moment the car arrived at our door until we were delivered safely home. Every staff member we have dealt with deserve a big thankyou, with special mention to Dionne (booking) Marta in Prague, Elke and crew of "Sound of Music", and all local tour directors must have been hand picked. Even in the face of the floods and swollen river, our tour didn't miss a beat. The extra night in Budapest was organised with our comfort in mind, and we appreciated being kept informed at every stage. Well done APT - we look forward to travelling with you again very soon.

We travelled on the Budapest to Amsterdam cruise in June and would like to congratulate APT, Captain Roger and Cruise Director Elke as well as every member of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and this was a first class trip all the way, including the wonderful food, entertainment, guided tours. Just home from the Legendary Danube River Cruise from Prague to Budapest on the MS Amalyra, a ship that was launched only months ago. I chose the shorter cruise not knowing how I'd cope as an experienced solo traveller unaccustomed to escorted tours. Well that has changed! The Amalyra is a floating 5 star hotel with exceptional hotel staff and ship's crew. Whilst I like the adventure of my own travels I have to say it was heaven to be "escorted" yet have the freedom to enjoy inclusive and optional tours or simply lounge the day away enjoying the splendid surroundings on board and the picture storybook countries we were cruising through. Thankyou APT

Our efficient pick up and transfer from the airport gave us a clue that this was going to be a pleasant experience. Our cabin on the top deck of the cruise ship with balcony was great, very comfortable and well worth the bit extra it cost for the 2 weeks cruising. We have been on many cruises on huge ocean liners and this was just so much more intimate and cosy. APT EUMCLP21 London-Prague. I have some additional comments: The Cruise Director Kay Kecht was absolutely amazing as was the Captain, and particularly when the river rose he got us safely to Vienna. Kay was marvellous the way he coordinated everything for us when we could not leave Vienna especially but during the entire cruise he was exceptional. The entire staff gave 150% the whole time and you should be very proud of them and they deserve recognition. Particular mention should be made of Andrea and the girls who clean the rooms; all of the bar staff; the Purser and his staff; the kitchen staff (the meals were excellent). I would particularly like to mention our waiter Alex Dragan. He was exceptional, he made our cruise for us, nothing was a trouble, he was amazing and we felt privileged having him as our waiter. I would like to sincerely thank him officially. All our guides on the tours were exellent.

Excellent- APT. Everyone from Captain to Cruise director to crew- were excellent, friendly and very helpful.. This is a trip not to miss. APT look after all your needs. Lots to see and do Budapest to Amsterdam. enjoyed every moment of this trip. Food,wine, food, and more food of a very high standard. recommend that you put this trip on your travel list. My husband and i have just had the most magical holiday ever. We had 14 days on the Amadolce from Amsterdam to Budapest on it's maiden voyage. There were so many highlikgts I can't choose one as the most magical because it was all magic. From the first night of entertainment as we sailed along and the evening light slowly faded to the sound of a string trio playing to the , to the beautiful little villages we visited, the wonderful crew, the fantastic meals, the magic of a christening ceremony at Durnstein to a mini concert on the marble steps of Budapest's Opera House. I don't think I could ever top that holiday.

Many things make up a great holiday and to go on a cruise is one of them. The Rhine - Danube cruise proved to be something else. A comfortable ship, unparalled service, superb eight star food, and a varied and interesting itinerary of places to visit accompanied by most professional guides. We have travelled the world by sea, air and land. This was the best - not one of the best!

We had high expectations when we booked our Magnificent Europe Cruise APT EUMCPB18 on the on the ms Amadagio but it was better than we dreamed it could be. The crew were exceptional looking after our every need and frequently anticipating them before our request. The scenery we saw from our very comfortable cabin. the ships spacious public lounges and on our included tours will live in our memories forever. Thank you APT.

It is almost two months since we arrived home from our trip away with APT. Both my husband and I had the most marvellous holiday. The service, the care shown by all the staff, the accommodations on land, the ships, the tours, the food were all superb. The holiday exceeded our expectations and we would just like to say a special thankyou for a wonderful holiday of a lifetime. Our Tour Director John Riley, was nothing short of amazing, with such personable skills and an ability to turn any situation around. He had the most amazing sense of responsibility to everyone and did everything in his power to assist guests and ensure everyone had the best holiday possible. There was an illness on board (colds/bronchitis) and John made arrangements for a group of us to see a doctor which resulted in us only having a minor health hiccup. He provided extra assistance whenever it was required and throughout the entire trip remained composed even during a time of sadness (when he had been notified of a death in the family). We consider John has been integral to our holiday success and we would like to thank him, through your office for a wonderful service to us. The service of all onboard staff was superb and we are reliving our trip daily in our memories and photos taken whilst away. Even after this time, we are still reliving the trip and are sure we will do so for many years to come. We have already started to research our next trip with APT and are thrilled with the fully inclusive tours and what is available for us in the future. Thankyou all so very much. The Rhine, Main, Danube cruise was absolutely fantastic, with a careful eye to details and satisfaction, and no-one could offer any criticism or improvement. The Cruise Director could not have been more helpful, considerate or caring. The chefs, waiters and room stewards were incredible, as were all staff. The nightly entertainment for classical variety could not have been surpassed. The whole tour was a credit to you. . .

From the Captain down through all the staff . . . the service we received was impeccable and always there was a smile and more than a few laughs with them, nothing was a problem. . . . Another special mention should be made of the head chef who created 'Five Star' food for fourteen straight days. . . . Finally our two wonderful guides were very attentive abd made these two cities (Paris and Prague) 'come alive' for us. . . Best wishes and smooth sialing for APT.

We recently were passengers on the Amsterdam to Budapest River Cruise in early March. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the cruise in full due to high water levels of the river. The alternative itinerary that was provided was wonderful, with the ship taking us to Speyer and a day trip to beautiful Heidelburg, which was another of the beautiful places we visited. I am sure it would have a been a logistical nightmare for all the APT staff to make so many alternative arrangements for so many people, and these arrangements too were first class coaches and hotels. The food and service on board Amadante was certainly first class & nothing short of wonderful and the attention paid by all the staff make you feel really special. Thank you APT and the crew of the Amalyra's maiden journey. It was so much better than I ever dreamed. The highlight for me was that there were NO lowlights. The food, wine, tours, entertainment, and just how we were looked after by ALL the crew was first class. Not sure about the Ham beer in Bamberg? BUT Melk Abbey was spectacular. I would like to thank Captain Jan de Bruijn, cruise director Marion Juhnke and ALL the crew for such a memorable experience one that I will never forget. We have just completed the first cruise of the season. 15 days from Budapest to Amsterdam. . .We had a major problem. We were unable to go under 2 bridges and apparently this hadn't happened before . We were on the Amadagio and we were lucky enough to be able to swap ships with the Amalegro. . . We had a 5 Star Ship with 5 Star Crew. (both ships) We had a wonderful Cruise Director, MADDY. Anything we asked for was done. For example, we pointed out to her that the windows in our cabin were dirty, and they were cleaned before we returned. Ask her about her private night time tour in bath robes! The food was out of this world,(ask about the icecream), and the crew couldn't have done more for us. We would recommend this tour to any body.

The moment that we stepped on to the ship, the Amadagio, we both felt that we were in for the best trip of our lives. From the purser to the cabin staff all were most courteous while we were shown to our room which we must say, with the beautiful floor to ceiling picture window made us feel that we could see the world unfold before us. With the welcome`s over for the first night on board it was time to settle in for the evening and we found our bed turned down and a chocolate and also a folder telling us about the next days events. The next morning was such a surprise to see snow falling on the banks of the river and also on the water ( we had never seen this before ) and that was a big treat for us. Our tour leader Debbie Asayag de Albrect was the most wonderful person in her field we found, all through the trip and later when my wife took ill. We cannot speak highly enough about the food and its presentation for our enjoyment and the waiters who pandered to our every need on the whole trip, and how could we forget those people that we met, and some who will become friends forever. The tours, both walking and by bus were planned so well and I`m sure nobody could fault them, with the history that we all learned and the places we saw, it was also nice to rug up for a change, coming from Queensland. It was such a shame that my wife took ill and was taken by your tour leader Debbie to the Cochem hospital where she waited with us for 3 hours and was told that she had a very bad case of shingles and still has them and then again in Paris with pneumonia. Little did we know that she would be in for more than 2 weeks. We must not forget to thank the captain of the Amadagio and you trish on board as well for this unbelievable trip and for your concern. We would love to do another trip with all of you, it was just magic.

I would like to thank the crew and apt tour leader for a wonderful river cruise on June 5th to June 22nd June on the Amalegro. We were part of a South Australia group who booked through Phil Hoffman, Norwood. The boat trip and on shore tours were absolutely outstanding all the crew made us feel very special, there was nothing they wouldn't do with a smile. The boat was also the best. there is nothing that could have been better for us. We also had two memorable bike trips with 12 other people. We hope to experience this again, but in a different part of the world. Many thanks to every-one involved.

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful experience aboard the Amacello, from Amsterdam to Prague. We enjoyed ourselves immensely during our two weeks of cruising. You may feel justifiably proud of your achievements. Having flown directly from Melbourne to Amsterdam we were fairly exhausted on our arrival. Not having access to our cabin immediately was not a problem as there was so much going on. The number and size of the ships / boats using the waterways was a surprise to us first timers and it seemed like no time at all before we could start unpacking. Allowing for the design constraints imposed on you, the ship and its facilities were fantastic. While everyone would have liked more room in their cabin no one could have possibley complained over the standard and facilities provided. The bed was fantastic and we slept like we were still at home. The ensuite was a masterstroke in design and provided everyone with five star facilities. The trip and itinerary were as well planned as was everything else. Whilst we don't think you can take credit for the scenery, it was amazing. The trips in special locations were a must and the guides knowledge of these special places helped put some of the history into perspective. It was evident some half way through the cruise; we had become hooked on excellence.

The ship was beautiful and always spotlessly clean, the cabin and dining room staff were absolutely marvellous and nothing was too much trouble the them, the front desk and Cruise Director were outstanding as were the crew. We were amazed at the excellence of the tours offered and of the quality of the tour guides who are some of the best we have ever encountered anywhere in the world - there wasn't one who didn't present well planned, interesting tours that gave us a real insight into the many places we visited - and we really appreciated the little additional touches provided when we returned to the ship - iced tea, a snack or cold towels.

My mother and I have both travelled extensively but I had never been on a cruise! Suggesting Russia took me by surpirse - it was one of the most splendid trips I have very been on - more than I ever hoped it would be - a dream of a life time. Our cruise director Marina was sensational and the trip was so exciting we just wanted to get straight back on the 'Tolstoy' and go back to Moscow! The only suggestion I have is to perhaps warn older people of the huge amount of walking.

Without a doubt . . .the absolute highlight and most fantastic time we had away was whilst cruising the Rhine-Maine-Danube Rivers on the Amalegro, where everything went along so wonderfully. The crew's approach was very professional and totally personal in all aspects, and i'd like to express (our) thanks to the Captain and his boat's operational crew. . . as well as acknowledging the obvious meticulously organization and timely information flow we were given for both the interesting shore sightseeing trips and various enjoyable on-board activities.

We had a fantastic time and were very happy with all aspects of the cruise. The Amalegro was very well appointed throughout, dining and entertainment was excellent, and the staff and crew went out of their way to please. In particular we would like to say what a great job our Tour Director did (Sue Obermoser), her personality set the right mood from the start, her caring attitude and organisational skills making everything happen like clockwork for 150 passengers on a daily basis was exceptional. The individual onshore guides were very thorough although after a while we found it difficult to take in all the history of the areas however they did their job well. As you would be aware we had booked and looked forward to this holiday for 12 months in advance and am very pleased to say we couldn't fault a thing and it was everything we had hoped for.

We have just returned from an unforgettable river trip from Budapest to Amsterdam on the Amadante. Both my husband and I thought it the best trip we have ever done, a real holiday. The crew and cruise director, were all wonderful, so friendly. The two weeks went all too quickly and the ship itself was magnificent, everything you could ever want was provided, food and wines unsurpassed. We can not praise APT highly enough. Many many thank you's from two happy travellers.

We returned this week from our Paris to Prague River Cruise on the Amadagio and want to let everyone know what an absolutely fabulous time we had. The entire tour and in particular the river cruise, met all our expectations and in many cases, exceeded them. The hotels (Westin in K.L, Lutetia in Paris and the Imperial in Prague were excellent, they were all superbly placed for visiting the most important sightseeing areas of each city, were very clean and well presented and each hotel had wonderful staff who made even the smallest request happen with a minimum of fuss. The entire trip was in my opinion, 5 star all the way. On board the ship was real luxury. The cabin was cleaned every day and the room tidied again each evening as part of the turn down service. The cabin was spacious and provided far more storage space and hanging/shelving space than I had expected. All our luggage stored easily under the bed and there was added storage via a pull out draw under there as well for heavy jumpers, shoes, handbags etc. The beds were firm but very comfortable and each room had a/conditioning that worked very well for either heating or cooling. The ensuite was very compact but again provided good room and storage. The shower space was surprisingly spacious. The staff on board were wonderful and made every effort to make every passenger feel as though they were their only charge. Our tour director, Jan was wonderful, what an extraordinary job he did, everything everyday went like clockwork. He is a superb logistics manager! The daily shore excursions were well thought out and each guide brought their city to life with their interesting commentaries and snippets of historical information making each days outing even more memorable. You really felt like you were a part of the life of each city and what beautiful cities they are, particularly the little gems like Miltenburg and Durnstein! Finally, the food! Five star service, from sun up to sundown, full linen table service with four courses available each evening with beautiful regional wines that flowed continuously throughout the meal. The breakfasts were a feast to behold and the lunches as light or as full as you pleased. We really experienced the life of the "rich and famous" for a delicious two weeks! I could write pages more, but I think in closing that I should just simply say that everyone should spoil themselves just once in their lifetime and sail on one of the APT river cruise ships, through Europe (or anywhere else that takes your fancy). I promise you it will be a trip of a lifetime!.

I was fortunate enough to travel on the Sound of Music Ship sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam in November 2008. What a wonderful time I had on this ship. The food and service was world class and my friend and I were also upgraded to one of the largest cabins on board. We would never have found a more likable ship to set sail on anywhere else in the world. If anyone is reading this article ring APT now and book your cruise and you will be thoroughly delighted with the outcome. Have fun.

Just thought I'd give you some feedback on our APT Amsterdam to Budapest river cruise - and my wife and I can honestly say it's all positive! We were eagerly anticipating this holiday but it was way better than we had ever imagined. We unpacked our luggage at the start of the cruise and packed up at Budapest. That aspect was very freeing straightaway - it really took the hassle out of touring. Our floating hotel, the MS Sound of Music, was first class. We wondered how our cabin on the middle deck would turn out to be. We needn't have worried. It had ample space, was beautifully furnished, and had everything you needed. The windows were not only panoramic like the brochure said, but you could open them if you wanted an alternative to air-conditioning. Our cabin wasn't right at the front but the gently chugging of the engine at night was never intrusive. The crew, from receptionist to chamber maid, were all very friendly and helpful, and the dining experience, both with regard to standard of food and service, was exceptional. And there was high quality on board entertainment provided by the various musicians who came on board at many of the ports of call. Full marks must go to APT for their organisation of this tour. From airport transfers to guided tours, everything ran like clockwork. Our APT cruise director, Kay Hecht, was approachable and well organised and made sure that everything ran smoothly. This was all done in a friendly, casual manner without any fuss. Communication on board was faultless - we were always made aware of when things were happening and he saw to it that older, less mobile tourists on board were catered for with less taxing guided tours and special transport arrangements when that was deemed necessary. And there was no compulsion to join guided tours: if you felt you needed to stay on board and have a rest, that was fine, and if you preferred to use the map provided and go off on your own tour of a town, that was fine too. Regarding the guided tours, it was pointed out to us previously that they could involve a fair amount of walking, but my wife and I who are in our early sixties didn't find any problem in this regard. Almost all of the walking was on flat ground and the pace was anything but hectic as the guides would frequently stop to point out something and explain its significance. We also appreciated not only the the free time to explore that was made available after the guided tours, but the "Freedom of Choice" alternative tours. In Nuremberg my wife went on the World War II tour whilst I decided to join the medieval tour. Naturally we enjoyed comparing experiences afterwards. We expected that this Amsterdam to Budapest river cruise would provide us with a relaxing, hassle-free holiday. We expected to be fascinated by the visits to the old medieval cities and towns which we don't have here in Australia. We weren't disappointed and we got so much more than we bargained for. My wife said to me "What are we going to say to people when people back home ask us how our holiday went - it's just been so wonderful." On the cruise she just kept on saying "This is the holiday of a lifetime" and we heard many other passengers saying the same thing. Back now in Australia, when I've been asked what the cruise was like, I say, "Fascinating scenery, beautiful food, being waited on hand and foot, seeing places full of history and culture, excellent entertainment, an opportunity to meet new people every meal if you wanted to - and all of that every day for the length of the cruise - it was like living in a fairy tale." Definitely hard to come back to the real world. Well done APT.

The most magical holiday I have experienced in my long lifetime. I have been very lucky and have travelled extensively by sea, air and land over 70 years, and I can truthfully say that the Russiam Waterways cruise was the most delightful, exciting and breathtakingly superb, and not comparable to anything I have ever done before. My daughter and i consider the trip was a dream come true, with unexpected compatability with the happiest passengers, staff and brilliant Director, Marina. The 'Tolstoy' was magnificent. I have recommended the tour to many friends already.

What a fabulous experience we had aboard the Amacello in June 2008. The ship, the crew, the meals, the excursions - everything was all I had hoped for and much, much more. The morning we sailed through the Rhine Gorge is something I will never forget and we loved all the gorgeous medieval towns that we visited. My favourites were Rothenberg and Bamburg whilst my husband loved Durnstein. An added bonus at the end of our tour was when I got to hold a falcon at Fishermans Bastion in Budapest. I loved the fact that we only had to unpack once, and yet we visited five countries. The on-board entertainment was great and we danced many a night away as well as meeting some lovely people. What a wonderful introduction to Europe - loved every minute.

We recently completed this cruise. We have done trips with a multitude of tour companies in a number of countries over the last 10 years We always read the fine print and in the end are quite happy if the result is 80% of expectations. We therefore must congratulate APT and the entire crew of Amadante because the entire cruise experience was in the end probably 120% of expectations. We hardly know where to start. Very friendly and helpful staff, meals and extras as good as one could expect in any 6 star hotel, generous with coffee, wines etc and nothing but the best on all excursions. We hardly need to sing the praises of APT to others because everyone we meet has praise. The quite wealthy Americans on board were clearly very impressed. Thank you again and we look forward to future trips with APT.

My husband and I recently returned from travelling on the Amadante river curise ship from Amsterdam to Budapest (then on to Pague by bus). This trip was the best valued and most scenic holiday we have been on and the staff were so professional and attentive to all the passengers' needs, which only enhanced our trip. Our bedroom and ensuite were beautifully appointed, and the daily sightseeing, great food and nightly entertainment was exceptional. It was a sad day when we had to end our time on this river cruise., and look forward to travelling with APT again in the near future.

River cruising was an effortless way to see the delights of Russia. We simply sat back and watched the never-ending view of quaint towns and villages. Simply magic.

I went with my mother on the 23 day tour of Australia and New Zealand with a 2 night stopover in Fiji first. Our tour of Australia and New Zealand was with tour guide Kay Chambers and she was so much fun. The tour was very organized and she was so professional and fun. We had the best time. It was the best tour I have ever been on. Loved the hotels we were in and the day trips were awesome. Kay went out of her way to help us and she gave us lots of options on our free time with help to choose them. I was so glad we toured with Kay and APT. I would love to go again.

Just returned from 3 wks. doing the Southern Explorer. Our tour guide, Sue Gibbons, was fantastic. Her love of her job and knowledge are second to none. I have been on many such tours before in Europe and the British Isles and never have I had such service. APT really are the best and one of the things is the fact you have smaller groups (no more than 24 I understand) The coach drivers were absolutely marvellous, excellent drivers, knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. This is the best trip I have ever taken. We were gone altogether some 2l days with Sue and our group and then ended the trip with 5 days in Fiji. I cannot say enough about Sue. She all but tucks you into bed at night she is so conscientous and professional. HEr love of life and wonderful sense of humour made the trip even better. We absolutely loved Australia and NZ and the beautiful scenery. We think we got a really good sense of both countries and saw all the major sights etc. Hotels were the best ever and food was excellent especially the breakfasts. I cannot say anything negative whatsoever and when I take another APT trip I only wish I could have Sue every time. I fear I have been spoiled for any future tours.

Catherine from APT was such a lovely group leader. Lots of fun and very relaxed. Just the right amount of organisation! Had a great time! Malcolm (driver) was fantastic. Very good driver, lots of fun and very knowledgeable. Accommodation - excellent. Crowne Plaza was my favourite. Loved the location of Sky City. Amazing dinner at the Observatory. Highlights Cape Brett 'Hole in the rock' cruise and Daryl’s dinner cruise. The coach was very comfortable.

Malcolm was amazing, he was a great driver and very informative. Highlights - Dinner at the Observatory, Darryl's Dinner Cruise and Freedom of Choice. Accommodation was fantastic.

Accommodation - very good! Catherine was terrific as a tour escort, very easy to get along with, flexible and a great person. Malcolm was a legend, his driving is very good and is full of info! Buffet's were good! Highlights - Bay of Islands, Sky Tower - all!

Highlights - Bay of Islands Tour, Forest Tour and Auckland Harbour. Very high standard accommodation - clean and make you feel and home. Malcolm (driver) was exceptional. Very professional and helpful. Clear guidance in every way. Great. It was one of the most unique experiences of my life.

I have had an absolutely fabulous if tiring few days. I have loved the APT coach touring - all options offered and been amazed with the wonder of this area of New Zealand. I would like to thank Malcolm and Catherine who have been an absolute delight and a pleasure to be on the tour with. Malcolm's driving prowess and professionalism and was an excellent driver and guide throughout the entire tour. They are both a credit to APT. I would definitely suggest passengers travel into Auckland a day or two prior to the commencement of this tour.

This is the second time I've travelled with APT and I have been deeply impressed each time... Thank you APT for letting me experience New Zealand. I was very impressed with the dinner cruise in the Bay of Islands and the sailing with lunch on the harbour in Auckland. Accommodation was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable and all were in a great location. Malcolm, our driver was excellent; he was always waiting for us and had a great knowledge of NZ. Catherine was amazing, everything was organised and on time.

Absolutely fantastic. Darryl's Dinner Cruise and 'Hole in the Rock' cruise were highlights. Malcolm (driver) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful time and will definitely recommend the tour in the future. Can't complain about anything, thanks again.

I had never been to New Zealand before and experiencing the areas I have and with the knowledge of our driver Malcolm I have learnt a great deal. Malcolm was excellent! He explained all destinations in great detail and was very knowledgeable. Catherine (our rep) was fantastic and great with her information to where we were going etc. She always made sure we were happy and ok with all information. Thank you Catherine for such a great trip and all the fun we had. I found all accommodation at a great standard. The best of all three that I stayed in was Crowne Plaza in Auckland. Highlights the Catermaran to Cape Brett, hole in the rock and Auckland City Sights.

Crowne Plaza was beautiful! Copthorne was very good - lovely location and views. Malcolm, the driver was excellent. He was always on time and was a wealth of knowledge on all the areas we drove through. I always felt safe and comfortable when he was driving.

Definite highlights - 90 Mile Beach - Cape Reinga and Excitor/Bay of Islands Tour. The Sky City in Auckland - great location - rooms spacious - beds very comfy. Meal standards were of a high quality - well presented - couldn't ask for more. Guides were very knowledgeable - considerate of Passenger's comfort. Malcolm - coach driver - very competent safe driver. Catherine - very professional - caring and considerate. Excellent Hostess.

Driver Peter was an excellent driver. Courteous to everyone onboard and the commentary he gave was informative. Director Laurel was polite and professional throughout. The accommodation was of an excellent standard, beds were very comfortable. Being winter the heating was great too. Sofitel Queenstown was fabulous! A great treat for a 2 night stay halfway through the tour.

Driver Peter was great. Very affiable, happy, nothing seemed to be any trouble... Accommodation was great, all had central positions so could go for easy walk. Edgewater at Wanaka on the lake had a fabulous position, Crowne Plaza Christchurch was amongst the shops and cafes and Sofitel Queenstown was in the centre of town. Would recommend scenic flight, although additional cost, well worth it. Mount Cook also a gem.

The standard, location, facilities and service at all properties was fantastic. Will recommend the Crown Plaza, Christchurch. Edgewater Resort was superb, lakeside location. The Hermitage, Mt Cook was a popular tourist area surrounded by mountains and had an upmarket restaurant. Our driver Peter and Tour Director Laurel were helpful, friendly and fulfilled all passenger requirements. Would also recommend Larnach Castle, Dunedin.

We have been meaning to write to you and other members of the APT crew to express our delight with our recently-completed Tour of New Zealand [Great New Zealand Experience NAA21) with Neville (tour director) and David (driver). While we were able to share with these gentlemen our delight, it often becomes important to ensure that those behind the scenes know of our feelings. We have to acknowledge Nev's extensive experience and knowledge of the country for which he (and Dave) have for their homeland. Their pride in being New Zealanders was evident. The experience was enhanced by their contributions and careful explanations of the history and geography of the area(s), with emphasis where appropriate on the people, particularly the Maori stories and settlement. Nev took time to tell about the government, education system, and had extensive knowledge about every little town and district we visited. We had a humourous experience when we were pulling into a little town for a refreshment stop. The waveband of the commentary given on a tour bus approaching from the opposite direction interferred with our commentary with the guide on board making the comment "This little town is ---- and I have no idea why it is called that, and no idea of what the town's indstury is --- likely farming and dairying." We told Nev that his stock shot up in value as his commentary was so much better informed. We were also impressed with the level of information that they could give about agriculture, manufacturing and resource production for each of the districts. Georgraphy was covered in terms of land and marine along with the flora and fauna. As already mentioned, a deep bow to each of these men for making our tour so very enjoyable. Incidentally, Geoff, we met about ten years ago at a Sydney hotel when there was a travel expo --- we were impressed that the leader of the crew took time to attend a gathering like that --- meeting endlessly with the public, but it impressed us so that we have done two APT offerings, and hope to do more. we took a 19 day tour of new zealand with apt in december.our driver was mark and our tour director was lyn.we had a truly wonderful trip of a lifetime for our 50th wedding anniversary.what lyn doesn't know is not worth knowing.as for mark,we watched him clean the wheels of the bus on christmas eve. thats dedication. two super employees ,many thanks to you both. tom & faye

I would just like to say how much I have enjoyed the New Zealand Wanderer 19 day affordable tour that I completed today (NEC 20). The tour director - Alison - and the coach driver - Roger - were both brilliant and added postively to my enjoyment of the tour. It seemed that every day brought new wonders to see - and both Alison and Roger ensured that we made the most of the opportunities to visit locations. I was a bit concerned at the start of the trip as the first hotel - copthorne on Anzac st in Auckland was a bit grim - but it picked up fast with the highlight (in terms of hotels) being the nautilus at Napier. The worst was the hotel in Haast and I have put a comment on my feedback form about that! The milford MAriner overnight trip was also something that will live with me forever as a magical experience. Thanks for showing nme so much of New Zealand. I know I'm not likely to return and I think you offered me a fantastic insight into the country

This tour was really well put together providing a truly memorable visit to this beautiful country which was made all the more enjoyable by your tour director, Peter Birks. His commentary was informative, delivered in an interesting manner with just about the right amount of humour, but it was his caring attitude that really made him stand out. He fully explained the freedom of choice and optional tours which gave everyone the opportunity to select the option that most suitable to themselves and then he was always there to see that everyone got off on their selected tours and was always there to greet them on their return ensuring that everything had gone well. He spoke to every member of the group each morning and evening to ensure there were no problems and did his utmost to make sure that any minor issue raised was resolved as quickly as possible. I firmly believe that Peter made this superb tour into an unforgetable experience. Peter is a great character, a shining example of a tour director, a credit to himself and your company. I feel that I should bring this to your notice and would be glad if you would pass my comments and thanks onto Peter. What did let the tour down was that some of the hotels offered only a restricted menu for evening dinner and I feel that on a tour of this calibre this should not happen, some of the hotels were 'a little tired' and lacked some facilites (should you require full details I would be more than happy to supply them). We took the 14 day tour of both the North and South Islands in July, 2009. It was winter in NZ but that made the scenery even more spectacular! Highlights of the tour were Rotorua, Queenstown, the Tranzalpine train, Dunedin, and Mt. Cook. I can't imagine being in NZ any other time of the year. We had a very diverse group of passengers from teenage boys to newlywed seniors but we all got along well. I credit this to our tour guide Barry, who was very knowledgeable and friendly with everyone. He has an extensive knowledge of the NZ and especially the Maori culture which was very interesting. Barry went out of his way to accommodate requests from people in our group which made the trip even more enjoyable. The Midwinter's Eve festivities at Mt. Cook made for a memorable evening. Mark, our driver, was also a source of knowledge and entertainment. I've traveled for many years and I can say without reservation that my 2 weeks in New Zealand with APT was my best vacation so far!

We had a ball in NZ. My husband didn't want to tour this way at first as both of us didn't want to be stuck with a busload of elderly people. What we got was a diverse group with an average age of 55. They ranged in age from 26 to 70+. These wonderful people contributed to making this a fantastic holiday from start to finish. The hotels were of the highest quality and the food was delicious. We experienced 16 days of the finest NZ has to offer. I felt safe being driven by David and I don't feel that way with many people. Some of the highlights were the helicopter ride at Mt Cook, the Shotover Jet Boat and the trip to Cape Reinga. While the bus journey through Arthurs Pass was great, the Trans Alpine Railway ride back to Christchurch was disappointing. I would have enjoyed spending that time in Christchurch. Glenys Shum our Tour Director and David our Coach Driver showed unwaivering patience and enthusiasm in their roles. They were tested at times.Their wealth of knowledge and friendly manner increased our enjoyment of everything NZ has to offer. I would travel with them anytime.

I am writing to you express some comments about my recently completed NAA21 tour. I was a bit hesitant at first about doing a bus tour, however my fears were unfounded.The overall tour was excellent. I was generally very impressed with the tour director/driver, tour destinations, hotels and restaurants. Some require further mention: The townships of Wanaka & Queenstown and the Gloworm caves were some of the highlights of the tour. The Sofite Queenstown was the best hotel stayed at, closely followed by the Te Waonui Retreat. I have stayed at many international hotels, and this is clearly up there with the best. The restaurants were generally of the highest order, especially the Te Waonui Retreat, Crowne Plaza Auckland & Christchurch, Sofitel Queenstown and Inter-Continental Wellington. In relation to our tour director (Glenys Shum) and driver (David McGregor): My fellow travellers and I were very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge of the sights, friendliness and willingness to go over and above what was reasonably required. Also, having to putting up with all the noise coming from the back of the bus. In relation to David, he was the safest and the best bus driver we had all tour. Some of the others we had on FOC tours sped excessively or tail gated which was of concern.I would like to add a couple points which may need to be addressed for future tours. I was completely disappointed with the Tranz Alpine train journey. The journey takes 4 hours out of the schedule, however adds nothing to the tour. Therefore there was no time in Christchurch. I was lucky I spent several days in Christchurch prior to the tour, otherwise I would have spent no time in this wonderful city. Also, the Arizona Restaurant in Wellington was the worst for food quality and had a poor level of service. While we advised by our tour director we may be doubling up activities, I did the thermal springs freedom of choice tour in Rotorua. I seems pointless to have this option, when we cover the same places on the last day of the tour. Can you please pass these comments on to the relevant people.

I had to let you know that our bus driver Danny and our tour guide Laurel where so WONDERFUL. They worked so well together and Danny driving skills were EXCELLENT. Laurel made you feel that she was your personal travel guide. Always took time to meet with you and took care of us beyond my expectations. She made sure you got to were you needed to be and would meet you when you got back. These two are PROFESSIONAL, organized, enjoyed there work, kind and are missed already. I would be honored to have them be a part of my company as well as you should be. They even went out of there way a got everyone gifts for Christmas wrapped and they may not of been much but treasured forever. Thank you for the best tour and for having Danny and Laurel.

As well as showing us all the physical attributes that NewZealand has to offer the group also learn't a great deal able New Zealands history which brought to 'life' the places visited. Trip high lights were walking on Mt White Volcano and Franz Joseph Glacier

Accommodation was great! Edgewater @ Wanaka on the lake, fabulous position and not a hard walk into town. Crowne Plaza Christchurch was amongst all the shops, cafes etc amd great location. All hotels were central and easy to explore from - apart from the Hermitage of course. Everyone was obliging and assisted with any enquiries I had.

The standard, location, facilities and service at all the hotels was fantastic.TranzAlpine Rail, Franz Joesf / Fox Glacier, Queenstown Gondola / Restaurant, Larnach Castle Dunedin - all great.

Sofitel Queenstown was fabulous! A great treat for a 2 night stay halfway through the tour and complimented by a fabulous hotel. Freedom of choice in Queenstown and Dunedin really highlighted the cities.

I am very impressed with this tour and APT as a whole. Standard of accommodation and meals was above expectation. Balance of free time, excursions and options offered was the right mix. I especially enjoyed the Dine Around Dinners and the fine dining.

The Tour Director and Driver really made this trip. APT always employs the BEST people. Heritage Hotel Rotorua was great. Clean and comfortable and good location. Copthorne Resort was very good. Clean, friendly staff and delicious food. Great pool and beautiful surroundings. Main sightseeing highlights for me were: the Matakohe Kauri Museum, Waipoua Forest Reserve, Bay of Islands - Russel, Waitomo Caves and glow worms, Rotorua thermal eco tour, Kiwi Encounter, Maori cultural performance.

Amazing scenery, Milford Sound, Helicopter flight at Franz Joseph, Otago Peninsula nature at Dunedin, Taieri Gorge Rail trip at Dunedin, new amazing views around every corner - - all great!

The choice of meals were always great. The views were amazing. Mt Cook, Franz Josef glacier, Milford Sound, Haast River jet, Walters Peak dinner, Queenstown freedom of choice options, TranzAlpine - all too good to describe.

I went with my mother on the 23 day tour of Australia and New Zealand with a 2 night stopover in Fiji first. Our tour of Australia and New Zealand was with tour guide Kay Chambers and she was so much fun. The tour was very organized and she was so professional and fun. We had the best time. It was the best tour I have ever been on. Loved the hotels we were in and the day trips were awesome. Kay went out of her way to help us and she gave us lots of options on our free time with help to choose them. I was so glad we toured with Kay and APT. I would love to go again.

Just returned from 3 wks. doing the Southern Explorer. Our tour guide, Sue Gibbons, was fantastic. Her love of her job and knowledge are second to none. I have been on many such tours before in Europe and the British Isles and never have I had such service. APT really are the best and one of the things is the fact you have smaller groups (no more than 24 I understand) The coach drivers were absolutely marvellous, excellent drivers, knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. This is the best trip I have ever taken. We were gone altogether some 2l days with Sue and our group and then ended the trip with 5 days in Fiji. I cannot say enough about Sue. She all but tucks you into bed at night she is so conscientous and professional. HEr love of life and wonderful sense of humour made the trip even better. We absolutely loved Australia and NZ and the beautiful scenery. We think we got a really good sense of both countries and saw all the major sights etc. Hotels were the best ever and food was excellent especially the breakfasts. I cannot say anything negative whatsoever and when I take another APT trip I only wish I could have Sue every time. I fear I have been spoiled for any future tours.

We recently toured the South Island of NZ with APT. It was the first time that we had done a tour, we have always hired a car and down our own holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Coach Driver Kevin Pilbrow and Tour Guide Alison Taylor were wonderful - they were very informative & knowledgeable of the area - we learnt so much from them. Also they had a great sense of humour (especially Kevin), we loved his jokes & one-liners. Our Accommodation was great and the meals were terrific. All in all we had a wonderful time and would like to say a big THANK YOU from both of us. PS the Coach was very comfortable too.

I had meant to contact you on our return from our trip to New Zealand, only getting around to it now, better late than never! Our Tour Guide was Ian Murray, (Blackie) on our Tour APT NAC15 from 6th Nov until he had to leave us when we reached Queenstown. He was the BEST guide we have ever had, made out Tour so enjoyable, as he was so enthusatic about his Country and was so full of information. It is very hard to pick out one "best place" or "experience" we had as, the whole trip was just fantastic. The visit to Bay of Islands and learning about the Maori culture, the visit to Rotorua and seeing the geothermal activity and meeting the Maori people, our cruise across Cook Strait to South Island, with spectacular scenery along the way, the sights of the Glaziers in Franz Josef, the one place that felt closest to heaven was Wanaka, wanted to stay there forever.....the quaint village of Arrowtown while on our way to the total different culture of Queenstown and our adventure on the Shotover Jet which was thrilling! Top of all the sights I experienced was in Mount Cook National Park, with spectacular views of Mount Cook. The finale with myself and my husband Punting on the Avon in Christchurch. The BEST Holiday ever and the chance to see a most beautiful country with the New Zealand people being the nicest people we ever met as well as the new friends we met on our Tour and have since kept in touch with. Well Done APT with providing us with the great choice!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first APT tour! The tour I started with was a 5 night North Island tour of New Zealand. It was great being a tourist in my own country and learning so much about New Zealand including some history, interesting facts and data plus brushing up on the Maori language. APT were efficient, professional and friendly and offered a very high standard of tour including good accommodation lovely coach and a terrific crew. On this tour were our crew Nick and Pete.The excursions offered on the tour and the optional excursions were all great and we enjoyed all of them! We had a great group of people on the tour and we all had a lot of fun together, Nick and Pete adding their fair share of fun and jokes! I look forward to doing another APT tour in the future!

I was on the "Best of New Zealand" 25/11/08 from Auckland to Christchurch for 17 days. Each day was something new - the country has amazing and diverse scenery. The perfect itinerary allowed for free time and adventuring out for meals on your own if you wanted to. But the best part was the tour guide, Laurel, and driver, Steve. They provided the most professional, interesting commentary, and have such wonderful personalities. We had a lot of laughs, learned a lot, and could have stayed on the bus another month with them! Definitely the best tour ever! Kiwis rock :)

The standard of hotels was very high. All properties offered good service, luxury and convenience. The food at all of the hotels was fabulour. Highlights included Tran Alpine, Otago Peninsula Natures Wonders, gondolas - Queenstown, Skipper canyon 4WD - Queenstown, Shotover Rover jet, Milford Sound cruise.

For me the main highlights were: cultural and nature inclusions, Haast River jet, Franz Joseph Flight and Mt Cook, Walter Peak Dinner, Tranz Alpine Rail journey, Milford Sound.

Peter, our driver, was fantastic. A real gentleman with a wealth of knowledge. And Glenys, our Tour Escort, was a lovely person, very organised and always on hand to assist. . .Edgewater Resort at Wanaka - blew me away. Gorgeous property set on sprawling waterside area with rooms overlooking the main pond area and beautiful Lake Wanaka. Amazing scenery, well planned tour and felt secure due to level of professionalism.

Rotorua was a highlight for me. And the Freedom of Choice options - great range of options.

And I was very impressed with the standard and professionalism of our driver and guide. What a wonderful asset to APT. Highlights were Bay of Islands and Rotorua. I had a wonderful time and was very impressed with the whole APT set-up - very professional indeed. I really could have gone onto the South Island . . .

We loved the "New Zealand Spectacular" tour of both islands during September 08. The Tour Guide Neville and the coach driver Craig were both professionals and carried out their tasks in a way that made our holiday the most memorable that we have ever taken. The information provided by Nev was informative and correct, interesting and relevant. Not just information for its own sake. Craig's driving was second to none. The coach was modern and well kept and he took great care of it, and we in turn were required to also treat it in the same way. The itinerary was planned to make the most of the time that we had. A wonderful holiday and we look forward to travelling again with APT

Our Driver and Tour Escort displayed a very high standard of professionalism. Their vast knowledge about culture / area was outstanding. The tour ran smoothly with a group of happy travellers. I cannot speak more highly of their knowledge they shared with us. The food was fancier than most people generally experience but I think that was enjoyed by all. I think most people on holidays enjoy being adventurous and experimenting with different cuisine. The scenery alone was a highlight. Milford Sound and the TranzAlpine were amongst my favourites. I enjoyed staying at Mt Cook.

Both Laurel and Mark were professional at all times. The highest standard I have seen on any tour.

Milford Sound, Queenstown, Lake Wanaka, Franz Josef - what highlights! And we had enough time to explore these places and were great as part of the itinerary. The whole experience was great, so many thanks to APT for their time and assistance in making arrangements for this trip.

In general I found this trip to be extremely well organised. It was done very professionally. The meals were amazing - definitely a highlight. The commentary was interesting and informative. The hotels (and hotel service) could not be faulted. The coach was very comfortable and meticulously maintained by our driver Mark. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experince.

I have just returned for a 21 day tour of Canada and Alaskan cruise and I would like to inform you of my and my wife's thoughts. Trent Phillips was our tour director and in our opinion, without his informative, witty and caring nature the trip would have only been half as good as it ultimately was. His attention to detail, genuine personal concern and advise, his handling of "older" people and his making sure everyone was comfortable, informed and knew exactly what to expect and when. His detailed local knowledge etc showed to me, he is the right person in the right job. People on out tour had done 3 and 4 previous tours and all stated that none of there previous tour directors (thought they had done a wonderful job) matched up to Trent on this tour. It was my wife's and my first organised tour and Trent has probably spoilt us for our next one. We would also like to comment on Owen our bus driver. Owen went out of his way to make sure we had to do nothing. He loaded and unloaded our small bags, helped all those that needed it to disembark, kept the bus spotlessly clean and returned stuff inadvertantly left in the bus. He was quiet but always polite and had a great sense of humour and when spoken to would talk as long as required to. To my wife and I the trip was really good, but the addition of Trent and Owen make it really extra special. I cannot praise them both enough. It was a trip we will never forget.

My brother, myself and three friends recently went on your Canada/Alaska Tour (UT19BVV). I am writing to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH. This truly was a trip of a lifetime. I have done a lot of travelling in my time, but no trip I have ever been on could live up to it and I can’t envisage that any trip I may do in the future could surpass this one. The Gold Class on the Rocky Mountaineer was superb as was their staff who looked after us brilliantly, the hotels were fantastic, the choices of places to visit could not have been better. The bus was extremely comfortable and gave everyone a great view of the passing magnificent scenery. And who could forget the majesty of Glacier Bay. I believe we also had the best tour guide in Rika and bus driver Tiho that you could ever wish for. Rika went above and beyond what anyone would expect – even down to supplying us with AFL and other Aussie sporting results and she always made sure that everything ran smoothly. She had an awesome knowledge and love of Canada and a wonderful fun personality. Tiho was the best driver I have ever been on tour with. Never once did we feel unsafe and he was always obliging to stop of someone thought they saw a bear or other wildlife (which often turned out to be a “rock bear” or a “bush bear”) – however we were fortunate to see bears and other wildlife as well (including a black bear outside out hotel room in Whistler for which we were able to get photographic proof). At any stop we had he was always cleaning the bus windows etc. to make sure we could take good photos out of the window. He had a great personality and he and Rika made a great and entertaining pair. They both contributed enormously to the enjoyment of out trip. Once again, thank you very much for a trip of a lifetime we would recommend APT to everyone.

Both my husband and my self would like to thank APT for a wonderfull holiday that we have just experienced. Our holiday was to Canada, Alaska, Rockies, Cruising, and then East Coast. We could not fault our trip one bit, if anything we would have loved to spend alot more time at Niagra Falls, it just seemed a bit rushed, and the day we were there was a Wednesday and at night they have fireworks on that paticular day over the falls. We were on such a high doing all the travelling on the west coast, seeing all the magnificant scenery, then doing the Rockies on the train which was just splended, then doing our Cruise.... Our tour guide was Janet who was out standing with her involvement with all of us, she was a real treasure of a person, as well as Coach driver Owen, both of them made a touring a pleasure. Janet would have to be very high on your list as a tour guide. We also had the pleasure of meeting Cathy and her husband Brett on the Cruise.... both very lovely people. We would also like to extend our thanks to our Travel agent who did a great job for us...her name is Claire Watt. Hi guys. We have just returned home after a fabulous trip to Canada/Alaska & San Francisco. What a blast! From the moment we left Australia everything went like clockwork, no hassles whatsoever. Our tour guide in Canada, Russel Burton went out of his way to make sure everyone had a good time, although there is always a very small minority that won't conform to being organised, but their (sic) not worth worrying about. Our coach driver Brian Lindsay was also brilliant, an excellent driver. We couldn't speak highly enough of APT. Congratulations on a job well done. We will travel with you again. My partner and I have just returned from a 24 day trip to Canada and Alaska and was (sic) thrilled with the organisation and professional manner thoughout the entire trip. Our tour guide Russel Burton was unique in his ability to deliver such a great commentary of the whole trip. Rusty as he chooses to be called is from Vancouver, and our coach driver Bryan made our trip into the Rockies one that we will never forget. The Cruise was fantastic and our trip up into the Denalie National Park was one never to be forgotten. The excitement in looking for critters as we travelled was unbelieveable. Recently we took our Honeymoon to Canada and Alaska with APT for 3 weeks and had the best time. It was even better as our Tour Director, Su Lowery made us so welcome and catered to our needs with pleasure. The Tour went off like clock work due to all the planning of APT and also Su, she also had everything so organised and really made the difference. Our Coach Driver, John was also great. He kept the coach clean and drove so smoothly around the Rockies. Highly receommend APT and also Su if you ever visit Canada/Alaska

My family and I traveled through Canada and Alaska. . . Our tour guide was Chris McLean. Chris was amazing nothing was any trouble and she worked incredibly hard to make everyone's holiday a trip of a lifetime (and she succeeded). Having Chris as our guide was an absolute pleasure. Every detail of the trip was very well planned and organized. Our bus driver Owen was great making sure we always arrived safely. Overall a fantastic holiday where we didn't have to worry about a thing we just sat back and enjoyed. We would defiantly travel with APT again.

My husband & I went on the Canada & Alaska trip in May this year. We went on a escorted Phil Hoffman tour which was run by APT. Well, can I say it was a trip of a lifetime, before we went we questioned the money, but it was worth every single penny. The service, hotels and scenery was breathtaking and I am sure that no other holiday we ever take will quite match it. We had a great tour group - all from Adelaide, and we have made some life long friends. Thank you APT it was our dream holiday and exceeded our expectations.

Dear APT Having returned two weeks ago (7th Sept) from " 21 day Rockies Explorer & Alaskan Cuise" I would just like to thankyou for the wonderful trip that we experienced. It certainly was the trip of a lifetime and (Margaret & myself) thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We must praise the tour guide, Robin Jarmen and the bus driver Dave McLillan for the way they organised us each day, everything ran so smoothly. (We know Robin's BP rose at times putting up with us Aussies) Robin certainly put himself out to see that everyone was happy and his regular lessons using his whiteboard while driving through the mountains were of great interest to us - if he retires you will lose a very experienced guide. Robin being an ex Australian made it all the more interesting. We were so lucky to have him as our guide. Dave the bus driver was just a delight to know (what a careful considerate driver he was) His cheerful personality was a treat! We didn't see very much of John House on the cruise? Inge made up for it! I haven't been able to travel around the world very much yet so this trip was a wonderful, beautiful experience that I will never forget, having it so well planned made travelling a breeze. Recently returned from Canada and Alaska tour and had a great time. Your APT reps in Canada were fantastic. Glenn Hanson and his driver Dave were so friendly, cooperative and professional in all that they did. They made the time in Vancouver very special, they are certainly good representatives of the Company. Although the trip on the Holland Americal ship was a great cruise the Holland America staff on board assigned to APT travellers were less than helpful and a lot different to what we had experienced with the guys in Canada. Overall though, it was an exceptional trip and we had a great time. Thank you.

I would like to thank APT for such a well put together tour. Firstly our tour director Chris Mclean she was the most well organised person I have ever met, anything we asked of her was not a problem. The history and all relevant information she was able to supply to us was brilliant, when things got quiet on the bus she would bring out a quiz or puzzle to have fun with, not to forget our bus driver Al he was incredible a perfect driver. I loved every moment of the tour we had a wonderful bunch of people on the tour and many happy memories. Last but not least Will Pringle who was our tour director on the east coast his knowledge of everything about the provinces that we travelled through was exceptional also his organizational skills were amazing and his counting of heads to make sure we were all there and cjeoff (excuse the spelling) our bus driver I could go on for pages, the memories will last forever.

We have just returned from our Canada and Alaska tour, and as the title suggests, "It just doesn't get any better than this". Our tour host, Diana Dowie was outstanding. Her caring and professional manner made her a pleasure to be around. She was extremely knowledgeable and fitted in fantastically with our very dynamic group. Paul, our coach driver was also second to none. The coach was always spotlessly clean and his driving skills were excellent. He was an absolute gentleman for the entire trip. These two people are a credit to your organisation and are a big part of what makes your company the success that it is. We will definitely be employing your company's services again in the future. In fact, I don't think that I would use any other company now that we have experienced the APT brand of service. Every aspect of the tour was meticulously orchestrated and ran like clockwork. APT, you are the jewel in the crown. . . Thanks once again for making our trip the trip of a lifetime. There's another tick on the bucket list.

Just a short note to thank you for the most wonderfully timed and organised trip. We recently returned home from our Canadian Rockies and Alaskan tour with APT. Appreciating we paid for excellence in accommodation and service we were delighted with every aspect of our trip that APT controlled. The purpose of my letter is to commend the two gentlemen . . . below. They both represented your company to the highest degree and were exemplary in their roles, going above and beyond their roles in every capacity and situation presented to them. I am sure many people write and complain, but not always pass on the excellence they experience. Again, thank you and congratulations on your quality staff "Dave" our bus driver and "Glenn" our guide. to ensure this feedback goes to the right people our trip commenced on May 13 and completed on 5 June.

Icefields, wildlife, hotels - great! Fairmonts are amazing hotels. Lake Louise walking tour is a must. Rocky Mountaineer unforgettable.

It's hard to write about the Rocky Mountaineer Train. There is too much to say! Loved the GoldLeaf. Trent is an absolute legend. He is just fantastic. I could not fault him in anyway. Always smiling. His knowledge is outstanding.

I loved the snow topped mountains and beautiful lakes in the wilderness tour. Trent [tour director] could not have been more helpful. I loved all the properties. Had such a great time. Such a fantastic professional company!

Jasper - lovely. Lake Louise - location! location! Banff - Perfect. Kamloops - pleasantly surprised. Glacier Athabasca - my highlight. Rail - relaxing. Nature and wildlife, snow capped mountains, Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola. Overall I had a wonderful holiday. This was something i'll never forget and was a truly wonderful experience. Trent made the best tour director ever. There was not one glitch.

Hotels were of an extremely high standard. Thank you for Athabasca Glacier, Tour, Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Rocky Mountaineer Train. My highlights!

Wow! This place was amazing. Such beauty around every corner, and it's great to know the locals know this and take a lot of effort in keeping their country stunning and support their economy in selling and cooking local produce. I really do think Australian should travel to this country and take in some of the qualities a little more. Rika (tour director) was amazing - the little stories she told gave just enough insight into the history etc but you could just hear that she knew a lot and if you let her go she would keep going. They had the hotels in great locations. They are amazing.

The accommodation on our tour was a high standard with great locations. Tour escort went over and above what everyone expected. She was friendly, considerate and a great sense of humour. Loved the freedom of choice.

Our driver and escort were nothing but professional the entire trip. Nothing was too much trouble. They made a great tour experience. Butchart Gardens, Whistler, Victoria - fantastic highlights. . . the experience of the tour was fantastic.

Our driver was professional and an expert. Our escort was very professional and knowledgeable. I loved the gondola ride. Whistler, Vancouver, Victoria - Superb - some of the best properties i've ever stayed at.

We have just returned from the Canada – Alaska tour, and would like to commend APT on doing such a good job in making our tour so enjoyable. We found the whole experience an extremely pleasant one. The organization of the trip was well done. There are a few individuals who were outstanding: Zita Abacherli in Canada, along with Peter the coach driver; but mostly, our agent Sarah Latimore in Melbourne who was diligent, knowledgeable, and very patient with all of our questions. We had a very smooth journey, with no ‘glitches’, thanks to her. We know that our fellow travellers were impressed with the tour, and we would travel with APT again.

We recently travelled to Canada and Alaska with APT and enjoyed a “holiday of a lifetime”. The itinerary APT had put together was excellent. It wasn’t so hectic that we felt in need of a holiday at the end but was at a pace where we could fully appreciate all we were seeing and experiencing. We particularly want to commend our tour director, Trent Phillips. He was a delightful young man with a warm sense of humour. He had a wonderful ability to interact with the tour group and handle any concerns or difficulties that arose. He was professional at all times and had excellent organisational skills which took him beyond the call of duty. He also had the ability to impart information both, directions and instructions as well as insights on the history and features we were travelling though – in sufficient detail and at the right time so that we could absorb it and not suffer from over kill! Our coach driver Steve Worrell also deserves mention. We felt we were in safe hands at all times. His friendliness and sense of humour added to the whole travelling experience. Trent and Steve worked very well together and complemented each other, a good team. We were so impressed with the trip, Trent and Steve that we felt we must write and tell you so.
