* Gold Service Travel
Travel in style aboard The Ghan with Gold Service, in a well-appointed cabin.
Twin Cabins feature a three-seater lounge that converts into upper and lower sleeping berths as well as an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower. Single Cabins feature a lounge chair/single sleeping berth and bathroom facilities are located at the end of each carriage. Both types of cabin benefit from the services of a cabin attendant.
For those seeking a little extra style, space and comfort, perhaps upgrade to a Superior Cabin. These are twice the size of a Gold Service Twin Cabin, offering a small double bed plus a fold-down single bed. Extra features include a private lounge, a DVD player, toiletries, complimentary chocolates, fruit bowl, plunger coffee, a fridge stocked with complimentary refreshments, reserved seating at dinner, optional room service for meals and a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner. In the Restaurant Car, all Gold Service guests will select from a menu featuring a blend of Australian and International cuisine. Freshly prepared by the train's chefs, all meals on board are included.
Gold Service guests also have access to the Gold Service Lounge. With a bar, comfortable seating and large windows, this is the ideal place to gather for a drink before dinner or for a game of cards and a nightcap with new friends.
* Red Service Travel
The Ghan's Red Service offers a comfortable budget-conscious alternative. You can choose from two sleeping options, the Twin Share Day Cabin or the Daynighter Seat (guests bring their own rug and pillow). Shared toilet and shower facilities are located at the end of each carriage. For meals, the Red Diner is a fully licensed eating area, which offers affordable and tasty meals, snacks and drinks for purchase.
