Day 1. Guided Base Tour, Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunset

Depart Alice Springs, stop at a Camel Farm before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Visit the Cultural Centre before joining a guided walk to the waterhole of Mutitjulu. See cave paintings and hear the legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Then take the guided Mala Walk to learn the story of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who lived at Uluru. Along the Mala Walk visit the many painted caves of the Mala people and learn how they lived and prepared for ceremonies at the base of Uluru. Later, travel to Uluru and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while watching the sunset. Tonight for dinner perhaps enjoy the Uluru Aussie Barbecue (additional cost per person).

Day 2. Uluru Sunrise, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Kings Canyon

Watch the first light of the new day at Uluru as you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Travel to the western section of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and the immense 36 rock domes of Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge. Learn of the domes’ formation and of the wildlife of the region. This afternoon travel to Watarrka National Park.

Day 3. Kings Canyon, Kings Creek Station

Choose from two walks to discover Kings Canyon. For the more energetic, take an early guided walk to the rim of Kings Canyon, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the towering orange walls. Continue through the domed rock formation of the Lost City and descend into the lush gorge where the Garden of Eden is found. An easy walk along the canyon floor is also available. The canyon floor walk takes you deep into the canyon between the towering orange walls. This afternoon stop at Kings Creek Station, before arriving in Alice Springs at approximately 6.30 pm.
