Day 1. Darwin

Be welcomed on arrival at Darwin Airport and transferred to your hotel.

Stay: Darwin - Travelodge Mirambeena Resort, Motel Room (Budget), Novotel Atrium (Standard), Mantra Pandanas (First Class)

Day 2. Kakadu, Yellow Water Cruise

Travel to World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to gain an insight into the park. Then join a guided cruise on Kakadu’s Yellow Water billabong and, after lunch, visit Nourlangie Rock Aboriginal art site.

Day 3. Ubirr, East Alligator River Cruise, Darwin

Travel by 4WD to Ubirr to explore the Aboriginal rock art galleries. Afterwards, join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise along the East Alligator River, escorted by an Aboriginal guide. With special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land.

Day 4. Adelaide River, Nitmiluk National Park, Leliyn (Edith Falls)

This morning visit the Adelaide River War Cemetery and continue to Nitmiluk National Park for a memorable cruise between the sandstone walls of stunning Katherine Gorge. Your guide will explain the significance of the gorge for the Aboriginal people of this region. Stop at Leliyn.

Day 5. Litchfield National Park, Wangi Falls

Entering Litchfield National Park, visit the double waterfall Florence Falls. Travel to stunning Tolmer Falls. Stop for lunch (own expense) then visit Wangi Falls for a swim in the rock pool. On the return trip to Darwin view the magnetic termite mounds.

Day 6. Depart Darwin

Enjoy free time in the tropical city of Darwin before your transfer to the airport.
