All guests must complete a health declaration prior to boarding.

IMPORTANT-
Valid passports are required on all Australia and New Zealand cruises. All guests must present their passport on embarkation, and it must be valid for the duration of the cruise.

We highly recommend that you obtain comprehensive medical and travel insurance to cover your entire time away from home. Be sure to pack your policy in case you need to make a claim while travelling. It is also worth adding your insurance policy details and flight numbers to your Tour Personaliser, so all your important travel information is in once place.
One week before your tour you will receive all the documents required ahead of your trip via email, including any flights and hotel reservations made with APT.
It is important that you login to APT’s Tour Personaliser and complete the details required. We need this information to be able to supply your travel documentation.

If you have a food allergy or medical condition which needs to be managed on tour, please advise your Booking Agent before departure, and inform your Tour Director on arrival. It is also worth packing a small medical kit, as even though there will be pharmacies along your tour, they can be difficult to access, and a prescription may be required for some medications.

Suggested Packing List:

  • A general-purpose antibiotic (e.g. azithromycin)
  • Cold and flu medication
  • Your preferred pain medication
  • Medicine for gastronomic upsets
  • Band aids and blister pads
Economy class flights usually allows between 25-30kg per person, though you will need to check this with your flight provider. Note – most of our tours only allow between 16kg and 20kg of luggage. When packing, we recommend casual and comfortable clothing. Consider the season of the destination you are travelling too, even in summer many destinations get cooler in the evenings, so it is a good idea to pack a jumper.

Each night, enjoy a delicious dinner, sometimes in an open-air setting, and expect a full breakfast in the morning. There is a fantastic array of quality food on offer, with plenty of healthy options. Regional specialties are often served with a sprinkling of Indigenous herbs for an authentic Outback flavour. All included meals will be indicated in your personalised itinerary.
If dietary requirements are strict, please check with your booking agent or APT concerning catering in advance.

After Dinner
After dinner, depending on location, you are welcome to spend the evening by the campfire, enjoy a drink at the bar, or simply retire to your room.

Dress Code
Most people dress casually on tour, however, in the evenings, you might want to wear something a little smarter.

Mobile Phones
Reception and internet service is very poor in the Kimberley, but you will have access to free public telephones along the way. Internet may be available at accommodation along the tour to check email.

Cameras
We strongly recommend packing a camera or camera-phone for this tour. As electrical charging points will not always be available, it is advisable to pack additional battery packs.

Seat Rotation
To ensure everyone gets to enjoy front and window seats, a daily seat rotation system will be employed.

Early Starts
Kimberley tours often have early starts, so be prepared to get up before the sunrise.
